I've watched it about 40 times. If I watch Neal, then it looks like he moves early. If I'm watching Hufford's head, then it looks very in-sync.

Neal's pad-level is so much higher than everyone else's. And he appears to have his first step backwards where everyone else takes their initial stance and drives forward.

This should be a mail-bag question for the InCyde Zone podcast.

Edit: you can watch it here. You can also choose to slow it down to 0.25 playback speed

Hansen couldn't be that bad considering he won that sprint for a 50 yard TD.
When I saw it live, I was surprised he wasn't tackled, but on the replay, the defender was trying to punch the ball out instead of tackling him. So, Hansen really lost the speed game on that play.

Well ya, but any time a white boy gets to the end zone running over 50 yards that totes counts.

Watched in slow mo and I in no way can tell he was early. Definitely not in real time. Don't see that ever really getting called unless you're playing someone like Texas or Alabama. In that case, if it appears that a lineman got off the ball well, well then he must have been offsides.

Only Iowa State fans can STILL be arguing if our own TD should have counted. We've been rammed more times in the poop chute than Linda Lovelace over the years ... but still, here we are.

I haven't read the whole thread but that's funny if someone did do that.

Every championship team goes through a game like this against a "weaker" opponent when they play far from their A game and have to grind out a win and UCF has a lot of talent so this was always going to be a tougher game than it looked like on paper. Schedule gets tougher so this was a good game to toughen up the Cyclones for the stretch run.

And LOL at the UCF player dropping the ball before the goal line. Why do so many players college or pro do that and even chance it? Good for Iowa State, probably saved their season, but it's just brainless.
It didn’t have any affect on ISUs season or the game. They scored on the next play.
