Tyrese Hunter, culture guy

If he wanted to play off the ball more then I think that's fair. He looked good last night. I just don't see him as a 2 guard in the NBA.

He could start as point guard if he improves his shooting and playmaking for teammates. He could come off the bench as a 2 if he improves his shooting and finishing at rim. Defense is more important than non nba fans know and that’s there already. His upside is Marcus Smart type career.

If he’s a first rounder at his height it means he was an all American.

You need counseling over him going there.
Dude had offers from Kansas and Gonzaga, st least there he would have had a good excuse of winning a national championship.

Him and his handlers are the ones that need counseling for picking such a terrible program.

He's good. Wish he was still here. Oh well, I'm not going to give him much thought going forward. I'd recommend this board do the same.

The more I think about it I can't really blame him.

As a 6 foot-ish guard he will not be playing in the NBA. Almost all guards in the association are 6"3 or taller and they care about that stuff.

So if he's not likely a NBA'er I guess maximize your college pay. Hate to say it but it makes sense.

Exactly this, but own it.

Texas isn't a "terrible program." If you think they are, then ISU is dog ****.
Texas Tech was a "middle of the program" until the current UT coach got there and established them as "very solid program."
Texas's coach is an OT away from winning a natty at Texas Tech. TEXAS TECH.

Watching him last night and against Michigan State it is quite clear that he wouldn't fit in TJs system. Glad he found a good spot for his skillset
I assume his off-the-ball defense is every bit as bad at Gonzaga as it was at ISU?

This being said, I couldn't fault his effort. He was just bad at it.

Really though, it is **** Iowa. Kansas must be destroyed. Uhmm...Bugger Texas with a Chainsaw?

KBTCS (Keep Buggering Texas With a Chain Saw). This is sort of Churchillian.
Sew Texa$$ BH closed and force feed them til they pop? Maybe not catchy enough.

He's a good player and had a hell of a game last night but **** him. Outside of Iowa and Kansas he transferred to the worst school he could've for ISU fans.

Do people leave a job for better pay and then feel they have to broadcast to the world their new job is pure volunteer work for no pay?

That’s not common at all. I feel bad he feels ashamed of taking the money, he didn’t break any rules.
If the rumors are true that he never returned to campus after the NCAA tournament, I'm not sure how he didn't break some type of academic eligibility rule. I suppose some lawyer or compliance consultant found some type of loophole.

For the recourses they have I would say they’re decently close to a terrible program. Constantly getting 4-5 star recruits and haven’t been better than a 5 seed since 2011. Very average.

The fact Texas hasn't made a Sweet 16 since 2008 is pathetic all things considered.
