Tyrese Hunter, culture guy

Not only did Hunter shoot lights out last night, but I noticed he was much more vocal and taking command of where his teammates should be on the floor.

Still would love to know how much Texe$ paid to secure his services.
The more vocal piece is likely just a sign of experience. Freshman in college is a whole new world compared to sophomore even if it's a short period of time. I wouldn't read into that.

Just like being new to a business. Even if you're a stud you're not gonna just start ordering others around without earning first respect.

I find it shocking that so many of you are surprised he improved his game. Of course he was going to improve. Why wouldn’t he? Also a lot of his limitations were do to the limitations of the rest of our players last year.

**** those scumbags. Hunter is a little sellout, I hope he crashes and burns.

He had like 8 offers including staying at Iowa State and picked the absolute worst program of the 8. We have triple the amount of Sweet 16s the last decade than Texas, not to mention all the blue bloods he had offers from and that's what he chose?
You need counseling over him going there.

For me the hate comes from where he transfered to not that he transfered. I had a boss who would tell people who quit they don't need to give 2 weeks notice. If they don't want to be here then we don't want them here. I think this is true with sports teams too. My issue is he went somewhere that is a direct competitor with us. Not only that but a school that has largely held the conference hostage to their will then tries to destroy it on their way out. Anyone who transfers in conference or to a rival will get hatred. Think Adam Haluska. Same story with coaches. If Hoiberg went to coach at Kansas I would have hated him for that, he is a Nebraska and I'm fine with that. Whereas Rasir Bolton going to Gonzaga and thriving doesn't get hatred.

Are you accusing me of quitting detasseling in high school?

ONE MORE ROW!
Fellow detasseler here. Earned a sweet hundred dollars an acre back in 1987 - well worth the hours of pulling tassels in the hot July sun battling mosquitos while walking through 4 inches of mud. It was a character building job!

Correct. Had he gone outside the Big XII I sincerely doubt anyone would have much hate or even blame the kid for getting paid. He went to Texa$$ of all places.

His shot looks much improved. Otherwise about the same player.

Thoughts on Tristan Enaruna's transfer to ISU? He was highly recruited in high school and a lot of people on this board were very excited about him coming here.

I don’t dislike him because he left, I dislike him because he plays for Texas. I dislike all things longhorn. Think I may start boycotting longhorn steakhouse, none close so it kinda takes care of itself. I even stopped buying longhorn cheese (prefer others so once again it isnt really a boycott).
The sacrifices. You are a true hero.

Again, he said the PC thing of it not being about money. We all know it was. But, like, who cares? He played hard at ISU, didn't appear to do anything wrong, and moved along.

I also know what NIL wise our guys are getting compared to Creighton. We aren't even touching them. If you're truly that upset, I hope you're donating.

I hate it so much. The schools should be paying for this.

You are correct about Rasir Bolton in that it isn't going to be a week to week thing because he doesn't play in the Big 12.

But make no mistake......plenty of hatred on CF was sent his way when he transferred.
