Tyrese Hunter, culture guy

The more i watch him the more I can't stand him. He seems super cocky now. I get mad whenever he scores or makes a good play. Then smile or cheer every time he misses or makes a bad play. Lol.
The more I think about it I can't really blame him.

As a 6 foot-ish guard he will not be playing in the NBA. Almost all guards in the association are 6"3 or taller and they care about that stuff.

So if he's not likely a NBA'er I guess maximize your college pay. Hate to say it but it makes sense.

You are correct about Rasir Bolton in that it isn't going to be a week to week thing because he doesn't play in the Big 12.

But make no mistake......plenty of hatred on CF was sent his way when he transferred.
Still is. And it wasn’t his choice to leave.

Probably a better version. Small sample size, but he's shooting 50+% from the floor and 40% from 3 right now. His shooting was definitely improving towards the end of last year after a terrible start.
I feel like he's other going to go off on us like he did last night or we completely shut him down. No middle ground haha.

We really need to get over the butthurt.

Belittling his character or play is just silly. He’s a stud, we’d be much better with him, he made a reasonable choice and we don’t have to like it.

I hope we kick their butts, but outside of our games, I’m not rooting against Hunter.

Let’s move on.

There’s nothing wrong with people observing he feels he has to lie that he has made $0 NIL.

Just general life rule that it’s totally fine to identify things that are most likely lies.

The people who can accurately observe that aren’t obsessed or “bent out of shape” or criticizing someone for just helping themselves/family.

If NIL stays around they shouldn’t feel guilt and pressure to lie that they aren’t pros.

It was, and I think it goes without saying that most players will be at least marginally better in year 2 than year 1. Overall I don't think if Tyrese has some sensational sophomore season that it is because he picked up his ball and moved to Austin. I think he would have developed the same in Ames.

I could be wrong, but most people I talk too got over him leaving because he made a wise decision for himself and his life.

What they are ruffled with is how much he started disparaging Ames and such as it was all unfolding and after he made the move to Texas.

That part was strange and off putting/unnecessary especially since from all accounts TJ and co. were completely understanding, so if people want to be rankled by that, I’m not going to hold that against them.

But from a pure decision standpoint, who cares? He made a move he thought was best.

I mean we’ll see. ISU could’ve probably gotten him more than the $0 he is getting now.

The best pure point guard in the world right now leading NBA in assists played for ISU just a few years ago. Really tough to argue ISU isn’t a path to NBA for a point guard.

Yeah but not many people on here are gonna admit they were wrong and eat crow.
Saw Bolton bounce one off his foot right to a Texas defender while trying to make a move toward the basket in the 2nd half last night. Texas picked it up and scored on a dunk in transition. Kind of triggered some ptsd for me, not gonna lie.

The butt hurt about Tyrese leaving is hilarious, as if nobody switches JOBS FOR BETTER PAY. Do I wish he’s still here absolutely he’s damn good, but can’t blame him especially if he’s putting some money in his pocket and if Iowa state couldn’t provide that then it’s Iowa state’s problem just like if a company can’t retain you cause another company offers better pay/benefits.

Do people leave a job for better pay and then feel they have to broadcast to the world their new job is pure volunteer work for no pay?

That’s not common at all. I feel bad he feels ashamed of taking the money, he didn’t break any rules.

Exactly, and don't think for one second he won't listen to others in the future. UCLA, Duke, Kentucky etc....... Also he has a 5 star kid behind him who is hurt. NIL is not a lock. If his time gets reduced so does the amount I assume.
