He's not super athletic, but he's athletic enough for someone who is 6'9" as a junior in HS. He has a big frame and can easily put on more weight/muscle. This kid has a chance to be an absolute mauler if the intensity and work ethic are there.

EDIT: After thinking about it, I thought they might have gotten the TD on that. It turns out Kennard Banks (at 5'9") denied the completion on 1st and 2nd down but they got their only TD of the game on 3rd down.

A quarterback has to be able to see over his offensive line to survey the field and make throws.

Taller can get better leverage and have longer wingspan to pick up blocks. it can become a problem with short qbs.
