I think they just went all GoT on this thing. Holy ****. His dialogue with McAdams was really good too. The only hope I have is the preview for next week says he got shot not that he was killed. I find it hard to believe they would kill off an actor of his caliber after two episodes as well. Why pay him if you can get some other guy, even Kiltch to do that?

It's hard for me to believe that they'd kill off Colin Farrell this early. His character is probably the most interesting one too. The guy that killed him had a similar look to season 1 killer.

Has anyone ever survived a shotgun blast to the stomach at point blank range?

I thought he might have been able to survive the first blast, but after he gets shot the 2nd time, there is now way he is alive, unless the ammo was bean bags or something dumb like that.

I'm thinking it's a salt gun.

No way they kill him off so soon...

I checked out the IMDB of the show. It shows Farrell is in all 8 episodes. Which, it could all be flashbacks or he lives.

anyone else enjoying the performance of Ritchie Coster as the mayor of Vinci? In episode two, he just keeps getting drunker, and drunker, as the day goes on, so by the time Frank visits him, he's just annihilated. He just nails the skeezy, corrupt politician part.

Overall, I'm hopeful for season 2. I feel like I shouldn't be comparing it to season 1, because it's really a completely different show. I'm starting to get drawn in, though. Hope the story holds up.

My guess is because Collin's character will make a heck of a good patsy, down the road, and is more valuable to the killer in that capacity. Just my theory.

I'll say I am more sold Vince Vaughn playing that character now after episode 3. He was good.

The scene last night where Farrell was talking to his boss and the mayor was loaded and angry that McAdams went to his home was classic.

The acting is really good but the plot isn't really developing yet IMO

Yeah its keeping me interested but definitely all over the place. It doesn't have the great dialogue Season 1 had to carry scenes. I could watch an entire season of Rust/Marty having conversations...the writing was that good. This season it just seems like everybody is trying too hard.

Kitsch definitely has some repressed issues about men. I think he's going to snap and become a good character to watch unravel.

The acting is good, but I agree with all. The story didn't really go anywhere last night, and the writing isn't as good as it was for Season 1. The rubber bullets were pretty cheap, although I'm glad Farrell isn't being canned.

I don't really know how to get my reasoning across but I like this season more than last. Yeah, the dialogue in the first one was better at times but when Farrell and Mcadams were in the car going back and forth last week, that rivaled the first season. I don't think the plot is so far out there either and I've always been more of a fan of shows that are more believable.

I'm trying to avoid the comparisons to last year. It's a basically a completely different show, so I'll attempt to let it succeed or fail on its own merits.

Speaking of last season, though. Yes, the dialog was good, but it was also pretty ham handed and schlocky. It sounded cool coming out of Mcconaughey, but a lot of times it wasn't much more than a stoned freshman philosophy class. Which fit with the pulpy tone of the series, don't get me wrong, something I thoroughly enjoyed.
