Tristan Enaruna PT

TE has skills, but he's missed more shots on bunnies than Elmer Fudd. I hope he will become a mainstay. Dont get caught up in the 4g 3 point hype - we will have games where we can't buy a 3 point basket. Then what ?

I’d like to see more minutes with Kunc and Enaruna on the floor together.
This is my thought as well. Would love to see Enaruna and Kunc at the 4 and 5. I don't think we have seen enough of that. Would rather see Enaruna at the 5 than Jones.

I thought Enaruna looked good against Iowa (and still played just 18 minutes), probably in this niche all year.

Then we utilize our athletic guards and drive to the basket.

Kalscheur’s contributions on the court go WAY beyond his offense. I feel like he is getting an unfair evaluation from a lot of people. His defense is incredible.
His offense is negating his defense. His box score plus/minus is -.5 His PER is only 9.5. I like him on defense and his leadership but there are times where he just too much of a liability on offense.

Meh. I’m not sure how much stock I put into those numbers. Take last night as an example.

Wasn’t he guarding Clergeot most of the night? That guy, in their last 5 games going into ours, had averaged 15.4 ppg on 13.2 shots, including 21 pts on 15 shots against Louisville.

He only took 5 shots last night and scored 7 points (5 of those came from the FT line). To me, that suggests he is a volume scorer and he simply couldn’t get shots up. That is suffocating D.

Don't mean to single you out, but I really don't like it anytime the term "bunnies" is used. Have you ever been under the basket trying to score over division 1 athletes who are swarming around? There are very few to almost zero shots I would describe as a "bunny".

Enaruna has struggled to finish under the basket through contact and against length... I agree.

Like I said he plays good D but so do Hunter, Brockington, Enaruna, Jackson, etc. His box score plus/minus was -9 against SE Louisiana. That game was a blowout thanks Grill and Kunc.

But I think he is still almost 50% from the floor.

I keep waiting for Gabe to go on a tear for a few games in a row. His shot looks good and he has pretty good shot selection. Hoping it starts against Baylor

His plus/minus is a bit screwed in that he doesn't shoot a lot so it's dependent on how others are shooting which hurts because Kunc or Grill are sitting while he's on the floor.

Yeah man, you know there are analytics that take into account defense?

Kalscheur doesn't shoot a lot? He is second on the team in field goal attempts behind Brockington and is first on the team in three point attempts.

We can play Enaruna with Kunc and/or Grill. In fact, that is a lineup we likely will need at some point if Gabe continues to struggle and Conditt is foul prone. It is surprising it has rarely been worked on.

It is not Kunc vs Enaruna. It is Enaruna vs Conditt/Jones and Enaruna vs 4 guards.
