Transfers and de-commits

Dominant??? yeah it was a highlight tape.
What's your point? Do you think Tyson Veidt is a bad evaluator of talent at LB?

Do you think we are brining in transfers to compete to be our backup kick holder? Where are you going with this?

I trust the staff on this transfer. From the limited juco's and transfers we have taken, many have worked out well. Lamichael Pettway and Andrew Mevis come to mind.

Bobek, Edwards, Wilkerson, Murdock, Pettway, Mevis.

I am sure I am missing a few.

Did Veidt already name the 2022 starters? Amos was a flop this board anointed him last year. .My point is this board is full of talent evaluators that have no idea what they are taking about.

Just curious how many of our LBs didn't Veidt have a hand in recruiting? Are you projecting all of them to be starters?

Just watched his tape, he's got a bad habit of first move being a hop. He is fast so he can make up for it against inferior talent.

I didn't but I watched his highlight tape and he was dominant. Judge for yourself:

I'd be careful to get too caught up in his video. He's not exactly playing against stiff competition and he only had 55 tackles playing in what would have been his sixth year. When he suits up for us, it will be his 7th year. He was originally a 2016 commit to Delaware. I submit that 55 tackles is not very many for a LB. If he had played LB for us this past year, he would have been third in tackles for the LB group. Only Vance had fewer tackles, but he also missed 4 games. Reeder had 3.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss.

Reeder also missed 3 games this year.

I’d be surprised if he isn’t starting, but that’s mostly because he’s as experienced as he is. We’re pretty green at the LB position outside of Vance and Vaughn.

I agree he'll most likely start, but I'm not trying to work myself up to believe he'll be anything more than serviceable.

Reeder was a good addition. Starter or backup at LB. Good transition as our talented LB underclass men develop. Depth is key at every position.

Just letting y'all know, given the Davis news, it is very clear that there is a key piece (or two) that plans on staying (Rose/Vance) or coming in (Colby Reeder). Both Horne and Davis wouldn't leave a place they know they could start at the next season.

Also sounding like Will McD is coming back too.
Good call.

I like the addition. Others know more than I. He will be a great help with the LB core. May start. At a minimum he will add depth and experience.

Any chance we make a run at Jaxson Dart now that he is in the transfer portal???

Guessing no. Even tho we previously recruited him, everyone on this board seems to think its Dekkers show. Dart isn't going to come here to be no. 2
