Timeout Entertainment Suggestions

Just a guess--American football has a lot more people (bench players, staff, cheerleaders, etc.) all around the sidelines and behind the end zones than European sports (soccer, rugby) do, so it's probably more difficult to see those walls on a broadcast. Maybe companies would still sponsor to have logos there in Jack Trice, but I'm guessing those spots are a lot less valuable than in Europe, where they're more visible for the entirety of a soccer or rugby game.
Agreed, less visible, but more visible than one might think.

While not a timeout entertainment idea, is there any reason why there are no sponsors at the base of Jack Trice. I noticed them during the Ireland game telecast. See images below.

A lot of, not all of, those spaces are hidden behind the team and all the other people on the sideline so I am guessing that makes it harder for people wanting to sign up for that.

I mean with the amount of timeouts they could put a movie on the big screen, and by the end of the game you would be able to see the entire movie.

All the talk about the game length, and continuous clock, to shorten it, then just filling that time with more timeouts is insane. They kill the momentum and the vibe with so many long breaks.

But I get the idea of coming up with some form of entertainment because it can really kill the vibe if there is not something to keep up some energy.

I do like when they show highlights from other ongoing big games during timeouts. Also the weekly ISU in the NFL big plays are fun too.

The challenges are fun to, like when people have to race or something, similar to making shots during bball games. Run, pass, kick challenges etc.

Iowa State Trivia, Rules trivia
Great idea, pick out a few fans and do some old school trivia for some prize like a gift card to a local spot or something. See it all the time at pro games, not sure I’ve seen it at ISU games

Also record the players doing trivia. Was at a cubs game last week and they had recordings of players picking out cities on a blank map. Sounds simple but people were locked in

Let’s give away some lawn mowers from JD with field goal kicks. Make 3 in 25 seconds

Ha, unless I'm crazy and not remembering correctly, I swear it was a regular thing in the early 1990s for the ISU cheer gang to "kidnap" the opposing mascot and then ram their nuts on the goalpost!!
I remember 4 male cheerleaders kidnapping herky, holding his 4 limbs, and running his head into the goalpost repeatedly.

West Towne Pub is no more so some other business owner would have to step up and do the cringy "WE - LOVE -THE CYCLONES!" spot. LOL
Agree on the cringy. But then it quickly became spectacular. I never skipped the opportunity to stand and “say it with me now…”

People can't just sit and relax during timeouts?
Unless you want to miss game time, using the toilet isn’t an option. youre right, chilling is a fine option, but with the amount of timeouts and the certainly those time outs will increase in length, we’ll be chilling for hours before too long.
