Last night's game showed why he is so important to the team. Despite his shooting slump, he had 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists, and passed after penetrating which led to other players being open.

Some players just play better as starters and he may be one of them. No game better than the OSU game to see how he does as a starter considering how depleted OSU is right now (19 pts/game lost due to dismissals). That doesn't mean he would necessarily get more PT than he is right now or TH get less. The team just needs to get him back to playing offensively like he did last year and this might do the trick. Lard was progressing nicely to getting back into the starting lineup before his injury so he looks on track to get back to optimal playing form.

I think he should as well.

THT was great in transition last night but he really struggled in the half court set. He also struggled to defend the quick TT guards. It's time to put LW back in the starting lineup. Saturday is the prefect time to experiment with it and help build his confidence back up.

I mean, an 85 Ortg using 26% of our possessions isn't ideal. THT actually did a little more in pretty much every category except shooting as well so using non-shooting stats to support Wigginton over THT doesn't hold water. I don't really care which one starts because they both need to be more efficient.

I understand the sentiment but I just do not have enough trust in this team to experiment. No matter the opponent.

I think Lindell was born confident, but I do think that he may be one of those players that just plays better when starting, whether it is due to it helping him get into the flow faster or for some other reason.

It seems like every shot he takes from 3 is just a little off, it's just a matter of time before he has a big game scoring wise.

Yeah I get that but I just don't see LW playing up to his potential unless he starts. I personally believe it's between the ears with him and that he isn't comfortable coming off the bench.

Yeah I agree, perhaps confident wasn't the right word. Getting him in the flow right out of the gate is what he needs IMO.

Someone will have to accept a bench role, either THT or Haliburton are the logical spots to put Lindell back in the starting lineup. THT probably should be the guy based on his play as he seems to be the guy that comes out the most right now when his shot is not falling but Haliburton I think would probably accept a 6th man role better.

I'm not sure that Lard was trending to take over a starting spot before his injury either. His play and effort was getting much better but I don't see a scenario where he takes Jacobson's starting spot even if he didn't get hurt. He may wind up playing more minutes than him off the bench in some games though.

Since THT seems more like a scorer, I could see him doing better off the bench. Haliburton just helps keep things running so smooth I hate to lose him as a starter even if the is playing similar minutes. THT comes in when Wiggington or Shayok come off the bench and he fills their scoring role. Instead of trying to share that with all 3 on the court. If that makes sense.

It seems like he's one game away from putting up 35 and being back the old Lindell.

Started looking the part last night...seemed to be way more in control on the drives and in shooting. Just didn't go down so much.

Hali coming off the bench would be great. Best part of him is last night he looked like the first player to pull everyone together after a weird foul call or something.

The difference being we know how much better Wigg can play and in big games vs THT. His stats were to show he is rounding into form in other areas of his game. Coming off the bench has not produced the desired results at this point, why not at least see if starting him will help him get his game back?

I disagree. If you’re gonna bench one of them, I think it has to be Halliburton. His energy would be far more positive off the bench. Give the players a boost when they start to slow down a bit. A real defensive pick me up.
