Time to Drop UNI?

I missed the game tonight...on purpose. After watching us play UNI last year, I vowed to never watch another Ben Jacobson team again. It's like watching Butler's JV squad. It's really some of the most God-awful "basketball" I've ever seen.

Furthermore, nothing could be worse than getting beat by garbage ball like we did tonight. It's like when the nerdy kid at lunch challenges you to a farting contest. You don't really want to play and you always lose because they are so good at farting.

I'm a Cyclone fan. I have few pleasures in life. If we are going to lose I at least want to lose in style. Please for the love of God let's play someone who can dunk a basketball and do the occasional cross over dribble or behind the back pass. No more stink ball. No more UNI!

No, losing to a team like UNI shouldn't be a concern going in. This should be chalked up as a W going in to the season.

Are program is not at a point to do that.
 
Shut the h*ll up. If we can't beat UNI at home and need to drop the series, we should hand over the keys to Hilton and 86 our MBB program.

These kinds of losses are way too embarrassing and the Jayhawks are never gonna let an instate division nothing team beat them....


Something like Texas will never play aTm again in your lifetimes...why play them if you dont have too????

One of the worst posts I have ever seen. You do realize that style of bball that UNI plays we can't beat right? Maybe we need to take a few things from them and figure it out. Like help defense, moving without the ball...etc.

Horrid post, just awful.

NO, who are we to ***** at Iowa for doing the same thing to us in football then? They won this game fair and square, plain beat us. We should be dominating this series, but its just not the case. Just because we lose does not mean that we have to act like Hawkeyes!:rolleyes:
 
Not gonna happen, so just beat them. We need to be better able to adapt to the flow of these games, that means getting the right players in there for defense. They close out so well on shooters which causes us to miss more shots. So we need to get our rebounders and defenders in the game. I wish we would see more mcgee, railey and gibson.

That falls on the coaching.

Great idea. We get outplayed by them and get beat, so we should just take our ball and go home. Unreal.

I felt the EXACT same way after last year, and told myself the same thing.

Unfortunately, I was dumb enough to watch, thinking I might see something different.
 
WTF are you talking about. UNI BEAT us tonight. Nothing more nothing less. If you look at losing to UNI as a horrible, life altering event, well my friend........deal with it. UNI is well above a middle of the road team. They are well coached, play TEAM!!!! ball, and keep their players for FOUR years. WTF do you expect. Why do you think they not only make the tournament, but WIN in the tournamanet. There are no McDonalds all americans, no one and done players, but they do their job, trust each other and win. chill out, this is a good measuring stick of where we need to be. There were 13 good minutes of total basketball tonight. O and D. We have 2u7 minutes to go. would you like to talk about the lehigh game, there were like 4 minutes there.

Jacobson is a great coach. Players play hard for him, and are very well coached. We won't drop them. I would rather get beat in a game like this than beat some horrible team by 20+. As much as I hate losing this game, it makes us better than playing terrible and still winning by 20.

wow tough crowd tonight. I guess no one likes losing to UNI. 5/6 is a trend. Can we beat Purple...not sure anymore...will go to my hole now.

Hell I'm already embarrassed, just reading the posts of our supposed fans. Yes please delete. UNI has a good basketball program. They deserved to win this game.
People that think we should NEVER lose to Drake or UNI are either very young or have a very short memory. Give Fred time, he won't dissappoint , he never has.
