Time to call a spade a spade.

What are we rebuilding towards I guess is my question. The only non ass offensive player we have is xavier and he will be gone.
This is the problem....the "oh it's a down year" guys...well next year the defense will be worse for sure...and what's going to be better offensively?

No ****.

3 false starts by Tyler Miller on the final drive and he never comes out, ends up getting worked for the deciding sack. How bad an omen is it for the future of that oline, that is already horrible, that there is nobody on the sidelines that can do it better than #66?
I've never seen so many missed blocks. There was not a single guy in that line that that has played well this year for more than a few plays at a time.

I publicly state after sticking up for the OL all season that I was wrong. We don’t know if our RB’s can produce because they don’t have an opportunity. Dekkers makes bad decisions but who wouldn’t when he knows what’s coming. Jeff Meyers either needs to get a lecture from CMC tomorrow that his job is on the chopping block the next two weeks or let him know tomorrow. The highlight for this team was “the drive” in Iowa City for the win and then the offense has found a way to lose since. Last week X dropped a TD pass all alone & this week it was Noel’s turn. Unreal

Let's hope JJ Kohl can live up to the hype. Might not matter if nobody can block for him.

Nope…. I was told he’s the answer…. even with no OL or running game. Doesn’t matter. Kohl is so good he’ll have better results than both Purdy or Dekkers.

We're lucky that he knows he'll be able to come in and compete from day 1, otherwise we'd struggle to keep him committed from the NIL offers he's getting elsewhere.

We have probably been blessed with Montgomery and Breece Hall (or maybe cursed) but the ISU O line has been bad for years and needs tending to

I’m concerned what talent we do have is about to be poached away, and we make that easier and easier each game.

I’m not buying “hype” before I see it on the field again for some time.
And without an O-line above MAC level or receivers (X is gone remember), there's little hope right now.

This team is bad. I fear for what type of attrition we see this offseason. This snowball might be just starting its downward roll.

I think the sad thing is that we are not bad. But we are clearly poorly coached and prepared week after week.

We are ruining one of the best defensives in the country.
