Haha. The media has started all of that. Also-Alleged? Alleged increase in ratings? Golf is better with Tiger. All of the media doesn't hate him. Some do, which is fine.

People like Tiger Woods because he is a winner. Michael Jordan is no different than he is except all of his person stuff didn't happen until he was done. I don't understand why some will look past it with him but not Tiger. The day I start basing what I think of athletes on how their personal life goes is likely the day I will hate all sports because a lot of these guys are ******.

The guys changed the game of golf. You want proof? Look at the young guys coming in. Very few are overweight, most are pretty healthy and most have followed a sort of "Tiger model" for success. He changed the game for my generation. He also brought the game to the forfront in a time when it was struggling.

This! Tiger revolutionized the way golf is played and all of these young players grew up watching Tiger and many of them try to imitate how he came to the top. Golf was not nearly as competitive before Tiger and was definitely not as entertaining.
 
He is doing everything well right now. He's actually hitting fairways, which seemed to plague him for a long time. His iron play was awesome to watch in this tournament.

And this differs from Michael Jordan how, exactly? Jordan was every bit the ******* that Tiger is on the course, only Jordan was (and is) like that all the time. Accounts that I've heard from experiences with Tiger are actually pretty positive when they're behind the scenes. It's on the course where he's a ****, because he is intensely focused on winning. But away from the course, he's said to be a pretty personable guy (I won't say great guy, because his track record simply doesn't allow for that).

And if we're going to hate him because of banging 19 waitresses, why don't people have that same animosity for Wilt Chamberlain, who slept with FAR more women than that?

Not going to join the fray, except to say that the image that Tiger created for himself was one that severely conflicted with the reality behind the scenes. Thus the more extreme backlash.

But then again, as far as I'm concerned, that stuff is none of our business anyway. People cheat on their wives everyday, but most of those people aren't on the front page of the New York Post for more consecutive days than 9/11 because of it.
 
Tiger could become scary good right now. He is driving ball outstanding and is now making putts like he used to. Problem with Tigers game before was his control, he has that part of his game down now. Watch out because he seems to have every aspect of the game now. I really think that he can do a lot of damage cause he is playing the best he has in his life.
 
No love for Tiger here. Maybe he won this one because he replaced the club his wife beat his a_ _ with! Hope this is the last tourney he ever wins. I would love to watch him struggle the rest of his career.
 
Some people hate Tiger because he once had a poor personal life and some people hate Tebow because he's too open about his Christianity. It really is hard to please everybody.

You're an idiot to think Tiger doesn't win another tourney. Personally, I'd be surprised if he doesn't break Jack's major record. (at least 5 more)

ummmm......just like he did a couple weeks ago when he won and Tiger was making his run? Rory is not scared of Tiger, like Phil or everyone else was last decade. Tiger is playing very well, but the competition is a lot different from 5-10 years ago.
