Tiger makes par in his first hole in 2016, excited to see what he does this weekend.

Interesting

Since there is now an uneven number of golfers, I'm guessing whoever is in last place will play alone and tee off first. I don't think they would have a threesome tee off to start the day, as that would slow down play.

5 under for the day through 12. Looking not bad. Tap in for birdie on the 12th par three.

Edit: 6 under for the day. Same 33 on front as yesterday but not ******* up the back nine (so far).

Bogey-free today. Didn't see that one coming. Health is going to be the key. He has quite a few more wins in him if he's healthy.

Was watching some of it. Putting like vintage Woods for the most part with nice iron play. Kinda nice not to not have to watch any cringe inducing moments or shots. 3-wood in the fairway on 18 better than yesterdays bombing a driver into the water. He might do okay if he resists the urge to try and bomb it with the kids.

I don't think that will be a problem. He's never been a guy who just hit driver because he wanted to. I mean, he dominated a major hitting driver like 3 times. So long as he has enough speed (he does) to compete, I don't think he's worried about how far he hits it. He'll be in the Speith area as far as distance is concerned, which is fine.

I don't think that swing (designed to protect his back) is going to hold up under pressure. It's great that he is back, but I will be shocked if he ever wins another tournament of meaning OR even be in contention again.

He doesn't have the physical or mental edge over any of the "kids" now. Even if he had the mental part, Dustin or Rory would just rip a drive 100 yards past him - then Tiger would try to be Tiger of old and hurt himself again.

You wonder why he backed out of two real tournaments to play an 18 man field on a course designed for tourists?

You got your answer.
