Guns N' Roses: Sympathy for the Devil (Rolling Stones)
Metallica: Turn the Page (Seger)

I never cared for GNR's version of Sympathy.

Their version of Dead Flowers, however, is great.

I had a better version on some bootleg in college.

I would agree on that, and when I saw them many, many years ago, I thought their live version of Live and Let Die was very well done.

No mention of Joe Cocker's "With a Little Help From My Friends", the best cover of all time? A bunch of savages around here...

All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix. Greatest cover of all time IMO. A lot of people don't know its a cover of a Bob Dylan song.

Umphrey's McGee covered Flock of Seagull's "I Ran" at Simon Estes in 2011 while Yankee Doodle Pops was happening overhead. It was freaking fabulous.

First thing that popped into my head was Barbara Mandrell's version of "How Long" by Ace. They came out around the same time in the mid 70s. She did tons of covers over the course of a 30 year recording career, including one of her biggest hits: "(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right".

Her version of "How Long":

They always have a knack for amazing covers.

They have a DVD with a better version of this, with a full horn section.
