one challenge for ISU right now is the quality of coaches in the league. Scanning through the list suggests Prohm has the second least experience and success as measured by Tournament appearances and depth of run. The new OSU coach has less. (Makes the OSU game very interesting). With that in mind a reasonable question is does Prohm have qualities that suggest he will outperform his More accomplished counterparts. Unless the answer to that question is yes the sooner Jamie can bring in a Campbell quality of coach the better. W may just have case of good isn’t good enough when surrounded by great.

Well they beat Oklahoma pretty handily and Krueger would be one of the top tier coaches I assume. So where do u stand on that?

Would have helped if he hired a recruiter, his recruiting is rearing its ugly head! If next season's recruits
don't make a big difference he'll be looking elsewhere for a job! His coaching is in complete shambles! Jacobson has not got the team around him as he did last season and is struggling bad! Not much recruiting and not much coaching!

couldn’t disagree more. Recruiting seems to be the one thing he has done fairly well. Developing and coaching have been a problem. I just do not think he is a good in game coach. He needs to bring in a Bobby Lutz to save this sinking ship

I've brought this up a few times but what is his recruiting geared towards?

The roster Prohm has assembled is squarely in “dumpster fire” territory.

It’s Haliburton (who is a high ceiling support player because he’s so passive) + a bunch of guys who are role players at best.

Conditt is a 6/7th man worthy big. Solo and Jake are 8/9th type role players at any good program.

The guards after Tyrese are laughable and shouldn’t be playing power 5 basketball.

No it just seems that way. He has landed some good players but he’s had way too many total whiffs.

It's really just a matter of time until he is let go, it's just a question of how long Pollard holds on to him. My hunch is it will be about two years too long.
If be rounding up buyout money ASAP but he won’t. Egg on his face for the last stupid extension

Bolton had a rough game today but he is a P5 guard, he proved it in the big 10 and he has done good things for us. He’s only a sophomore so I expect his jumpshot and play making to get better. Nixon definitely isn’t and probably should’ve found a school similar in size to CSU.

So, like two players?
Get the right coach, and a rebuild is nothing in college basketball. Rosters change quickly, which is one issue Prohm has. You’ve got to be able to fill holes in the spring.
More likely will need 5 or 6 players ready for Big12 minutes I order for any immediate success. There will be zero consistent shooters on the roster for next year as it currently sits.

It’s a tremendous coaches league. He is extremely outclassed and in games that have evenly matched talent, he loses at an alarming rate because he is almost always outcoached.

You’d be surprised how much better many of these players would be from better coaching and adding just two quality newcomers.

Is there a stat of what his teams' performance is like to start out 2nd halves? Today they were actually OK until the technical, but it seems like they tend to give up a quick 2-3 buckets after the break.

It is a single data point that holds less positive value than the Florida A&M game holds negative value. For example in football a loss to UNI (post first year) tells you more than a win against a highly ranked But grieving OSU.
