Things that make you feel old

2 years ago, our flight attendant asked my wife if sitting on the exit aisle was OK, since you have to be at least 15 to sit there.

Same flight attendant didn't ask me..................

A few months ago, I realized that my 25th anniversary present will be teaching our daughter to drive.

I always get ID'd and ocassionally even asked for a birth date or address. People think I'm 15. Went to a casino in Minnesota last summer where it is 18 to get in and I'm the only one in my family that got stopped, not even my almost two year younger girlfriend. I'm 24.

I'm 29 and this still happens to me.

My weekends are boring

You aren't old. Eventually you'll look forward to boring weekends where you aren't chasing your kids everywhere. It's excited to let your old bones rest.

A 10 year old neighbor kid asked me how I got all those MP3's transferred to 45 RPM vinyl discs.

I really hadn't ever thought of it that way but I'm sure it seemed like a very logical question.

Aw, Erik, I've missed reading you on here.

The flight attendant was asking "about" you, if you get my drift... j/k

Maybe by the time your daughter (congrats on that, BTW) is old enough for a permit, everything can be done online. No need to have a passenger side brake and all that.

We can only hope!

I've wondered for 2 years what the attendant was implying, but I don't like most of the options.

revkah and I went to a rated R movie while we were dating. The girl at the ticket counter asked if I was her dad.

I'm going to pretend that the baby girl will help, but people will probably think I'm just a supportive father/grandfather.

I think it is better you do it...you can be calmer:yes::yes:

We were looking up pictures of students we used to teach when they were eight and found most of them have now graduated college. One is about to get married.

I believe you mean a 5.25 inch floppy, unless you were referring to your manhood.

I was going through some boxes in our basement and found some cassette tapes. My 9 year old daughter had no idea what they were.

I was working on a photo shoot with a young fashion model somewhat new to the biz and the photographer talked about doing some shots with a film camera and she had no idea what film was. I mean no idea at all. We described to her that it was like clear plastic paper that the image was burned into instead of a memory card.

The Mac tower I got in '98 while a design student at ISU was first significant computer to ship with no floppy drive option and standard USB/firewire ports only. First version of OSX that is just becoming 'mainstream', it was basically like something out of a sci fi movie. Steve Jobs first major 180 after he took his company back.

When people think my wife is my daughter, same boat as erik I guess.
