really wish they would change the song tho... that Smoke in the Water loop they use is terrible.

There is so much potential for the sound compared to the old system. They just need to get all of the levels/settings/etc sorted out. I'd guess that they'd need to work with the city to do any work on it during the day - noise ordinances and such.
I didn't think it was ever garbled or unclear, but the volume was high enough that it sounded fuzzy in my right ear (to the north) and clear in my left ear (to the south). There may have been some saturation or clipping going on somewhere between my eardrum and my primary auditory cortex.

I heard the siren for the first time while pulling for you guys against Iowa, I thought then that it was cool, didnt know that there was controversy over it, but I shoulda guessed it. I hope that thing goes off all night tonight. Should be a good game.
I read your post and no others yet. I say it is about time we have something obnoxious to visitors other than a band or a chant. It is completely original. (and obnoxious to visitors) I believe we will get used to it visitors will hate it.
