Music and siren sounded great, but it seemed like the PA announcer was talking through a can. The official's mike sounded better.

I have been emailing Pollard to do the Cyclone Warning and the Nationa Weather Service thing for years. Every game I send out a Cyclone Warning to everyone in my phone....BEEP...BEEP...BEEP...THIS IS THE NATIONAL WEAHTER SERVICE, A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM HAS BEEN BUILDING IN THE CENTRAL PLAINS....A CYLONE WARNING HAS JUST BEEN ISSUED FOR AUSTIN, TX!!!!!!!!!

That was my initial thought. "Man, this is going to irritate the **** out of visiting teams."
Plus, it adds some new traditions to the gameday experience. I think it was a great addition to the stadium.
We should think about doing it sometime in the second half after a score. I think that would get the fans "Jack"ed up.

I thought the siren was great, but I'm going to be a stick in the mud about the sound system. It was ******* terrible. IMO, very little or no improvement over the archaic system it replaced.

You can't be serious. The new systems KILLS the old system. You can at least hear it in both endzones.
I'm dead serious and I've got a fair amount of A/V experience. It was often distorted and tinny sounding with lots of echo. Is it better than what we had? Yes, I believe it is and it will get better as they figure things out. But I was very disappointed last night.
I really loved the sirens and absolutely loved the storm warning. And when it ran across "all panther fans should take cover immediately" the place blew up. Loved it.

The siren was great outside the stadium. That being said, I was in the student section the ref's mix was ****poor at best. At times it sounded like he was using a can phone. I don't think the siren was real, I think it was you over the sound system. Still a great tradition to start
