This is correct. The whole truth...

- If we play a mistake-free game, we overcome horse **** calls and win the game.

- If the refs don't have horse **** calls, our less than perfect game still beats Baylor.

Both of these things are true. I think most fans are justified in expecting players to not play perfect and officials to be better, also not perfect, but at least somewhat consistent.

I get the intent of it. I like trying to increase player safety.
Its why I agree with the unnecessary roughness a little more than the targeting.

That call on Johnson should result in the back judge who threw the flag to be demoted to a lower level of football, likewise the lead official for not picking up the flag. You can’t make that bad of a mistake and continue to work Big 12 games.

Legal hit in college and Iowa high school. I was coached to hit players that were crossing through our zone before the pass. Yeah, you can't grab or tackle them, but this was a textbook legal hit before the pass.

This is all fine and dandy.......but either they are both ejected or they are both allowed to play on.

But that isn't what happened is it? So the rules as written were not followed.

I don’t think so - the Freyler call was so egregious and it started the whole thing.

I also feel like CMC was trying to get thrown out of the game to make a point and the refs wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. Either Campbell has pissed off that crew before, or they’re a bunch of Texas guys who don’t like that little old Iowa State has risen up and want to make sure we know our place.

You've been shown repeatedly a video of a Baylor player hitting Brock with his head down and with the crown of his helmet, yet you never responded to those posts and refuse to even acknowledge it. Why?

I am now convinced that you did not even watch the game. Nothing you say is even close to what happened. I can see maybe coach crossed wires with that crew before. It just seemed they were laying the ground rules down for the ISU defense early on what they were going to allow.
