I don't think we watched the same game. There was more to be desired from the defense, but poor? They weren't allowed to play. The refs set the tone with the targeting all the way up to that BS call on AJ.

The QB play I'll give, you, Dekkers had hirst first less than good game.
Yeah, there was a play late in the game near the sideline where you could tell our defenders were afraid to even push the receiver out of bounds. Refs set the tone early, and our defense struggled to figure out how to tackle without touching above the chest or below the waist.

We have been through this before with football and basketball. Just need to go on to the next play. Yes, some of those calls sucked but it is going to happen. We had too many three and outs and bad defense at times. We may have overcome those calls if we get a few more first downs or stops on defense. We don't need a letter or a speech about a Big 12 conspiracy. I trust Campbell will get things fixed and move on.

Not exactly sure.
You got a TD on review. I think it was the correct call, but could have easily been reviewed as Play Stands.
The block below the waste on the pulling lineman was a miss. I can see why he called it from where he was, but it was a bad call on a conversion down.
I truly don't have a problem with any other call
Of course you don’t, they ALL went in your favor. Saw the refs on the Baylor sidelines would come over and yuk it up with the Baylor coaches, on the ISU side they ran to the middle of the field. Pretty obvious.

I don’t even think the call against Freyler was even the worst call. The “block below the waist” on Anthony Johnson was inexplicable. And that was on 3rd and 8.

I agree. It's just easier to call out the Freyler flag because of the repercussions and the no-calls on the BU defense.

We shouldn't have to overcome 14 points spotted to good teams. The refs don't have to be perfect, but they should be consistent, and today they were neither.

Clearly missed targeting on Brock run...Clearly missed illegal pick on key 3rd down...right in front of ref..

Reeder call of 15 yds the baylor WR was within 5 yards of LOS...was obvious on replay..

I can keep going on.

TD review was correct..Brock recovered ball with his knee in bounds...No way that gets reversed without clear video evidence..

What people don't understand is ESPN reviewers have multiple angles taht they don't show on TV..

Exactly. Drive over and Baylor is punting.

Don't know how the rest of the game would play out.......but between that and the "targeting" call this game was quickly getting the feel of the "farewell" Bill Snyder game a few years back.

For me it's not as much about Freyler's call being bad as it is that the same thing doesn't get called later. I see this in other games too.

The below the waist one was crazy bad. I also thought Dekkers getting called down when he was sticking with a play was bad too.

Go back and watch one of Brock’s first Carrie’s, Baylor defender comes over the top of the tackler, leaves his feet and goes helmet to helmet with Brock. No thought of a call by the refs.

Refs are giddy about rule changes and to flex their muscle calling them..

New rule changes in 2022"

1- blocking below waist outside of pocket.
2- Targeting..What people might not realize is targeting now is simply leading wtih crown of helmet anywhere above waist.. Not just helmet to helmet..

Call on block below waist was atrocious...

J Brock literaly got hit helmet to helmet with crown...twice and no call.
