Teams solved the game, at least as far as the current rules are concerned. Any shot that isn't at the rim or behind the 3 point line isn't viable.
Correct. It's just like the evolution of baseball that has made the current iteration of the game "boring" as well. Analytics have changed everything.

It’s a boring 3 point contest and the effort in the regular season looks 75% for too many games.

Also stars resting really sucks, which would maybe help to reduce the games to 72.

Hmm.Probably why I'm not in the NBA.

I'm too small and suck around the basket got killed, and also I suck throwing 3s. But playing at State and Beyer gyms.... I was MONEY on midrange shots!

Fred pretty much game planned that years ago at ISU. NBA teams have since come around to it.

When you have a radio host saying the All Star game sucks because Caitlin Clark is not participating in the 3 point competition you know the league has a popularity problem.

Grew up a Bulls fan in the 90s and can't stand watching the NBA anymore. No defense which has lead to some rediculous scores lately. Also feels like it's either iso 1 on 1 or bombs away from 3 kind of game and not as much of a team sport anymore. The college game is way more entertaining to watch these days.

I can’t dunk from the free throw line, but I don’t mind seeing people do it!

I don’t take anything Daymond Green says seriously of all people.

Exactly. And the 3 quarters are usually done after the 3 point contest, then just standing around and look stare each other and go home. There is no rush or immediately need to get in the playoffs.

NBA more half teams go playoffs: 53% (16 of 30 teams)

NFL: 37.5% (12 of 32 teams). And EVER SINGLE game can make a huge difference.

Well yes that's coming from him, but the storyline title news need a player for clicks and audience. However the commission is saying it's a problem himself, so I'm sure a lot of people and shareholders think the same.

I don't know how anyone can buy tickets to an NBA game in advance to only find out their favorite player is going to sit out that night to "rest." That is such weak sauce that star players need off days throughout the season when the stars before them had no issues playing all 82 games if they were healthy.

Shave 15 games off the regular season and it would be fine. The skill level is higher now than it ever has been. The versatility of players and moving the 3 point line back has made it impossible to play defense though. I mean contrary to popular belief nobody watched the NBA in the 70s or 80s. There is way more parity now too.

“it's no substance” I agree, your game is no substance. Unless your ejections are substantial.

They do play defense it's just really hard to guard guys one on one with the kind of scoring ability that an NBA guy has. There was no parity in the NBA in the 90s either. Unless you were a Bulls fan what was so great about the 90s? The same team won it 6 out of 10 years and it was basically the same teams in the playoffs every year. Was there an NBA finals in the 90s that even went 7 games. You knew the Bulls were gonna win it every year. It was about as exciting as the Patriots winning all the time honestly.

A different topic about NBA, but I saw this and I thought it was funny about player missed games.

Stocktons style of play was night and day different than LeBron. You’re gonna get hurt a lot more when you’re driving to the rim rather than running a pick and roll over and over again.
