Nebraska fans for the most part, especially the older ones, don't trash the Big 12 like OU, Missouri, A&M, and Texas.
I will always cheer for Nebbie to s…stomp Iowa, along with every other team on Iowa’s schedule. Self doubt started creeping into delusional Hawkeyes when they would win their division and then get absolutely hammered in the B10 Championship. The laughable slogan “punting is winning” is the most pathetic excuse for a piss poor offense ever invented and the few sane Hawkeye fans know it.
Huskers essentially have 7 easy games to start the season. They will be ranked all season until November anyway. They should beat Iowa I would think. Their schedule is so easy, they could be a 10 - 2 team in the CFP. Don't laugh!

We had season ticket holders sitting around us back in the day that would suddenly ditch their Cyclone gear for those games and show up all decked out in gobigred (which they would shout incessantly!). Felt like we were in the visitors section. Next week, back to Cyclones again.
Are you from western Iowa? Growing up in CB I hated Nebraska more than Iowa mostly because it was the entire identity of a lot a people in the area. When the Omaha World Herald sports section has 2 pages in the sports section of only Nebraska stuff year round it gets old. I'd compare it to someone who's religious forcing their narrative down an atheists throat.
That said I had a positive experience my one time at Memorial, the 9-7 win, and have come to hate iowa 10 times more than I ever hated Nebraska
The Big 10 move has been perfectly good for them. They got more money, their schedule got weaker, yet they get credit for having a tough schedule cuz Big 10.
100% of their problem was internal. They were every bit as successful in the Big 10 with Pelini as they were in the Big 12 with Pelini.
They started sucking because they hired a mediocre coach then replaced him with a horrible coach.
The move was 100% benefit, they just did stupid **** a couple years after making the move.
They were still recruiting great for years after still sucking.
The idea that the move to the big 10 had anything to do with them struggling is nonsense. It’s the ultimate in correlation not being causation.
They were mediocre or worse for half a dozen years in the Big 12. Poleni revived them for a while, but he said mean things. Fools chose personality over competency.
I remember similar situations. Those folks were weird. And, I remember that in 2004--an ISU win--I was surrounded by the most vulgar people I have ever been around. Nasty, negative, mean "fans." I suppose the game was their one chance to see the N is for Knowledge College in person and they say their Big Red succumb to a surprisingly good Cyclone team.
That was actually pretty awesome to see. I HATED Nebraska fans as a younger man. I’ve softened on them. They’ve been humbled a bit and I think they share our same hatred for EIU.
I had planned to root for kNU two times this season. They have already won one of those game in "prime" time. Hopefully they can take care of the other team as State did Saturday.
We have a similar Iowa fan in our section. He’s missed very few games in the last maybe 10 years. But when Iowa comes to town, he’s wearing Iowa ****. However, he keeps his mouth shut and isn’t especially annoying during the game.
I had just walked into Memorial Stadium right when the kick happened. It was awesome. Then shortly after a C-17 did a fly over. Exactly 11 years ago earlier I was flown back to the US (Walter Reed) from overseas after my injury by the same aircraft type. What a special day!
Oh, I had a burning hatred for Nebraska back in the day. Now, like an old ex girlfriend, the feelings aren't there anymore. Me & Iowa State football are in a better place today.
