The Game

6 teams had no problem with Purdue. Yet unranked 6-6 Purdue routed Ohio State by 29 points. 49-20. 49 points allowed in that game by that terrific Ohio State Defense. That was the most points in a game that Purdue scored this year. Eastern Michigan 7-5 from the MAC Conference beat Purdue.

At least Oklahoma only got beat by 3 points by #9 Texas. A top 10 team.
I think if OU looks good in beating Texas, they will get in. Avenging their only loss.
Purdue and NW are much better than all the Big 12 homers on this board give them credit for, and Purdue's beatdown win against OSU (just like Iowa's win against them last year) will haunt Meyer.
But OU has to make it emphatic IMO. Texas is no top ten team.

I consider Purdue to be mediocre. Northwestern a bit better. But there are so many crappy teams in the Big Ten. Rutgers and Illinois are lots worse than Kansas. Kansas beat Rutgers 55-14.

Texas is rated #9. Yes. They are a Top 10 team according to the ratings. If the rankings don’t count, Northwestern should not even be ranked. Has Northwestern even beaten a team ranked in the Top 25?

I disagree. Assuming they both win next week, I think what we see on Tuesday will be the final result. They're not going to have OSU jump OU only to reverse it the next week.

I just can't stand it when the so-called "experts" don't take into account the entire season when looking at who to include. So why even play the whole season then?

It's like tOSU's beat down they received at the hands of an average Purdue team (they got destroyed by a bad Minny team 41-10) didn't even happen now. They claim that was just one game. Well, guess what.... the tOSU win over Michigan was just one game too, right?

And this "the Big 12 doesn't play defense" mantra they always spew is just BS too. The knock on tOSU all year long by these same "experts" was that their defense was bad. But now all of the sudden because they held Michigan to 39 pts, their defense is good now? Wut?

I added up defensive numbers for OU and tOSU (pass & rushing attempts)
Oklahoma defense 897 Plays for 5388 yards Average 6.00 yards per play
Ohio State defense 820 plays for 4787 yards. Average 5.83 yards per play.

This is not the massive disparity that ESPN keeps telling us about.

Exactly. We are being fed a bunch of BS to hype Ohio State by the resident Buckeyes on ESPN. Heibstreet and Robert Smith are completely biased. West Virginia is a Top 10 Offense. Top Ten team. West Virginia was undefeated at Home. Oklahoma deserves more credit for the victory than they are being given.
