you're putting a defense + offense over a drive? seems like a wrong comparison.

not to mention making iowa fumble on the 1 after a blocked punt on the road is way bigger than those others.

I'm putting it over those as a gut check.

Beating a legit #3 CFP team in their own home with a Heisman winner by completely screwing up that Heisman winner on the last play is bigger than any win over Iowa, ever.

Following it up with beating #5 TCU two weeks later is also.

So is clinching the Fiesta Bowl with similar drives.

Don't get me wrong: That was some **** from Dekkers to lead that and for ISU to dig in.
But in ISU lore vs the competition available? Nah.

That was a great drive and such a killer for Iowa after cyclones forced the goal line fumble. Even with the mistakes when we had other opportunities to put the game away, gotta give hats off to a 99.5 yard drive like that with the pressure on.

And KF in his postgame is whining that he talked to people and they said "the ball crossed the plane" and "in the Big Ten that's a touchdown"....sorry Kirk the refs didn't think the ball crossed the plane.
And I've checked people KKKirk, and racism is wrong.

You could say it was satisfying.

We might've given it back, but I loved getting them to jump offside that deep. You could tell we had practiced that or just executed it well. It gave us some confidence and kept Iowa from getting too aggressive.

If anyone wants to listen to "The Drive" from Iowa's perspective, here it is.

How useless is Podolak? Watch him during this drive. He's totally checked out.

Jump to 4:21:52, 3rd and 5 for ISU at the 20. Dolph sets the scene then leans over to tap Podolak as if to remind him he's a major college football analyst live on the radio and maybe he should say something in this critical moment. And all he can muster is, "Yep, this is the biggest third down so far today, and there have been some big ones." Super insightful!

I caught at least one other time on that drive where Dolph taps him and reminds him to say something.

And Podolak's comment after Dolph's reasonably eloquent tribute to 9/11 was also pretty priceless. The man just has a gift with words.

Ed: Did they say, "Offsides, Wisconsin?"
Dolph: They said, "Offsides with contact."

:D:D:D
That was hilarious! Seriously, it seems like something is wrong with Ed. Gary had to keep poking him to remind him to talk. Does he have to do that the whole game?

Fortunately I don't listen to Iowa announcers since I follow the Cyclones. Podolak could be 3 sheets to the wind for all I care.

This drive reminded me of Michigan State’s 22-play, 82-yard, nine-minute drive in the 2015 B1G title game to score the go-ahead touchdown with 0:27 left.

That was soul crushing. It was also against the Hawks.
