That game was fixed

Of course there are things we could've done. There are things we could've done to beat Oklahoma State, there are things we could've done to beat Oklahoma by more. But this is an 11 on 11 sport, with over 100 plays being ran with complicated details for each player to remember. The name of the game is whichever team makes fewer and less impactful mistakes during those plays is probably going to win the game. However, how do we know which team is going to make fewer mistakes when the refs fail to penalize one side half the time for their mistakes, and penalize the other side when they don't make them?

Worry about the things you can control...Everything else will fall into place. If the refs are fixing games it will come back to them at some point. Things tend to go in circles. Something about the posts on here about the refs make me feel like we point the finger at them every chance we get. I am not saying the refs made good calls but stop the loser talk.

I'm not going to worry about the things I control because guess what? I have no control! I'm not whipping out my PS4 controller and moving around these guys like I'm playing a video game, I am a fan observing the game which no control over it whatsoever. The players do the best they can to control the game on both sides every game. So when what they can't control decides a game, that is a HUGE problem, especially when they do everything that they control right and still get punished. THEY DID WHAT THEY NEEDED AND STILL GOT PUNISHED. This is a problem. If you don't see that, then sorry, you are not watching the same thing everyone else is.

I understand officials aren't perfect, and mistakes will be made, but at some point when this happens against one side this many times. this goes way beyond just players needing to worry about what they can control.

If we continue to blame refs this program will never turn the corner. Why give the kids or coaches an excuse that the refs lost the game. Worry about improving yourself and your team and things will work out.

If the refs truly fixed the game it will surface maybe not today or tomorrow or in the next 5 years but it will get resolved somehow.

No, this isn't about blaming the refs anymore. This isn't "oh, we lost, I know, let's blame terrible calls." Stop with this nonsense. This is beyond that. Refs are literally taking games away from the better team and giving them to the weaker team because they don't believe it should be this way...or they are getting paid under the table...I dunno, maybe they bet on the game. There is officiating mistakes, and then there's blatant screwjobs that the refs didn't do a good job hiding. This is a huge problem in sports and it doesn't start here, it goes on EVERYWHERE. And when this kind of thing happens, we never really get to see who the best teams really are. What difference does improving yourself make when if you actually excecute properly you still get the loss because someone somewhere needed to get paid?

If the Big12 doesn't censure that refereeing crew they have 0 integrity and there is no point in playing the games. They should just announce who the conference wants to win and everyone could stay home.
Here is a good reason ISU gets screwed so much...it starts at the top with Bob Bowlsby...a former Hawkeye who has no room for anything ISU..."Bowlsby arrived at Stanford after a 15-year stint as the Director of Athletics for the University of Iowa. In his final four years, he guided and supervised the merger of the Hawkeye men’s and women’s athletic departments that included 24 varsity sports."
Why expect a Hawkeye to ever be fair to a Cyclone. It's a subconscious bias he has toward us.

We beat Oklahoma and TCU? Where were the refs bag of cash coming from for those games? Big ten or SEC?
Like I said, the refs could have any financial reasons, and that includes betting. TCU and OU were both favored by more than a TD, and also more action was bet on ISU covering anyway. K-State was a whole different beast. The heaviest action in that game was ISU winning the ML, so gotta make sure they lose.

I understand your points. There are two paths here. One path should figure out the refs insider info issue and that will not be the players or coaches. The other path we collectively need to focus on not being so weak and blaming refs even if it is true. Let the professionals deal with the refs lawyers etc... and do not allow a cloud to hang over our head about refs.

See, normally I agree that the coaches and players need to do that. However, this is not going to get resolved until things get drastic. We as fans though, I have no reason to not complain about it. I'm a damn fan, I want quality product, and when the quality is ripped away like this I have every right to complain. If I wanted to watch games be rigged/manipulated I'd watch WWE

I'm over the top with my ref apologizing, I have my reasons - but if you can't see the complete ******* that ISU was handed in this game than you simply don't know the game of football.

I say we had a million chances to not put ourselves in that situation and yet we did. This program needs to turn around and stop complaining about officiating . There are going to be bad calls in some games and we need to deal with it. I think it all started with the unsportsmanlike conduct.
I think you are right, but I am pretty sure we are talking about different calls. The game changed when baby Snyder Boy flipped out over the refs finally calling the hold on the return. KState has had the strategy for years to hold and block in the back like big dogs on all returns. They get called for it once a game, flip out on the officials, so the officials think they have screwed the kitties, so they spend the rest of the game sucking up to Ole Man Snyder. The game had some bad holding calls before that call on Little Snyder (Garcia's was TOTAL BS) but the game totally changed after the unsportsmanship call against KState. Not sure we got even one more call after that.

It is a cancer to the program to blame refs. Let the professionals figure it out. That does not mean stop throwing your remote at the TV or punching the pillow 100 times in a row or in your mind pulling 3 or 4 scholarships.

I knew this game was ****** the instant I saw the holding call on Garcia during a cut block play. Anyone that has ever played O-line knows it is impossible to hold short of diving and grabbing the ankles. Garcia lunged forward with his hands on the ground and never touched the d-lineman with his hands.

**** this conference, and **** these refs.

Those saying we shouldn’t be in this position, we shouldn’t have passed, what would you do, run the ball and have another phantom holding call? **** that.

It is more cancer to take it from the refs year after year and not do anything about it, while the other coach screams at the refs and throws crap to a point where a penalty is called just for that, and all the sudden...no more calls against K-State. If fact, it's not cancer at all to blame refs. Snyder showed today that blaming the refs = get all the calls.

...Either that or it was staged to make it look like the refs weren't throwing all the penalties at the Cyclones.
