Thanks Rutgers Fans!

If you really would like to get to know us Jersians, study this map

That's awesome!

A lot of diversity crammed into a very small area. I think Jersey is like the geographic equivalent of 4 counties in Iowa.

I think my favorite areas where "Drunk Rutgers students" and "worse than Detroit".

Honestly, throwing out the thought of getting to warmer weather, we probably couldn't be going to a better city to have fun in. My wife and I have to split time over the Christmas break to stay home with the kids (we each have 4 days to take and neither of us will be home at the same time as the other.) so I don't have vacation time, or I'd be there in a second.

I won't be holding vacation time next year either though. Every time I've held enough to make it to a bowl game, ISU didn't go. I took no pay to get to the Insight and the Independence, but that was before kids.

Greetings from a fugitive from Old People and Asians territory. Oddly enough, I'm both old and asian. I guess I'm going to get sent back.

Just wanted to remind anyone driving, you don't pump your own gas in Jersey, and there is no right turn on red in NYC unless specifically permitted. Hope you guys have a great time and here's hoping for a fun, entertaining, and injury-free game for players and fans alike (luckily you're not playing Uconn).

I agree with the OP. You Rutgers fans seem a lot more classy than the uconn fans
Well, Yukon fans are a special breed, although no one has quite figured out exactly what that is. Anyway, RU has a very passionate fanbase, and we've had great times with all of our bowl opponents' fans in the past. If WVU remains in the Big East next year, you need to visit our boards in the week leading up to the game, commonly known as Guido-Hillbilly Week. Although it's all in good fun, the back and forth between our two fanbases is hilarious. I'm sure you can guess the stereotypes. We're gonna miss those inbred, livestock-molesting, toothless Mountaineers. I hope we get to know your fanbase better as we get closer to the game. Definitely let us know if any of you are heading out here and hit us with any questions you might have.

Props to the Rutgers fans for being so classy on here. Thanks for the help and I plan on tailgaiting with you guys before the game.
We plan on starting the day before....I hope you guys can hang.

I'm sure you'll run into plenty of Rutgers people in NYC the night before, but not as many as you might expect. We have a big home bball game vs Florida that night, which means the first trip back for our former McDonald's All American, Mike Rosario, who transferred there last season.

I too want to say the Rutgers guests here have been excellent so far. I have a new and lasting respect for Guido.

Hopefully you find Cyclone Fanatics like having meaningful discussion with plenty of playful banter in between. Well, at least it's there when you sort through most of the ********.

Sometimes, this NY/NJ attitude gets tagged as pushy, but I think we have seen that they just jump in when they have something to offer. A typical NY/NJ guy will tell you exactly what to do because they think they know something really special and helpful for you. They understand if you choose to do something else, but they don't hesitate to let you know what they think you ought to know. It isn't truly pushiness, but aggressive helpfulness. I love it.

I think you nailed it!! Well said!!
