Texas game Kickoff announced

I wonder if any other streaming services will have that.

I remember last year for the Akron game, I had to get a free trial of Hulu to stream CBSSports for that game.

Well the only good news in this is that with it at 7, those who are going to Maui will be 2 PM local time. Was really praying not to have a 11AM kick.

Unless I'm reading it wrong you have to have at least their Core package to add the sports package. So, 39.99 a month plus 10 for the sports pack.
Yea, sorry unclear on my part. I already subscribe to Core so will have to add that for a month. I don't know whether you could get a trial running AND sign up for the sports pack, but I doubt it.

Just out of pure curiosity, as I don't know much about the Tier rights, could ISU do this to Texa$ next year with Cyclones.Tv just to stick it to them and their fans like this is doing to us?

No, ESPN is acting as both a Tier 1 and Tier 3 provider here. Tier 3's are supposed to require both schools agreeing before the game is relegated. They selected the game acting as a Tier 1 and then (apparently) get to choose what of their networks the game is on, including LHN.

Is there some website that shows the Tier 1 picks already made for the upcoming season?

At what point in time does the BIG Twelve conference reel in Texas, and have a true conference.

I think this is a shatty move by ESPN, but I don't really see how this helps Texas. They lose the national exposure of a Tier 1 pick by getting knocked off ABC/ESPN and stuck on the limited-audience LHN. Does Texas get paid more for LHN if ESPN does this kind of thing?

Well, they signed a 15 year deal, so probably nothing until that ends. However, the Big12 needs to step up and stipulate that if a conference game is to be on a school's own network, that both need to agree to it.

I honestly don't think that Texas cares one way or another if this game is on their network or on a national network since they get a flat fee every year from ESPN. However, ESPN has an interest in having more subscribers to this channel, which is why they have started putting at least one conference game on the network every year. The problem here is more ESPN to me than Texas.
