Apparently once again ISU is someone's Super Bowl as TCU is breaking out the new helmets for Saturday's game.

I think they are fine. I may change my mind when I see them with the uniforms on the field. But as a standalone helmet, it looks good.

I wouldn't read too much into the new helmets. TCU has become something of an Oregon Lite with a lot of uniform changes in the last couple of years. I think they are doing the new helmets this week because it is the first home game in the Big12 and the school is hosting a number of recruits. Should be a fun atmosphere for the game though. TCU fans are not a rowdy fan base like say Tech or WV but does have a nice tailgating scene. Should make for a good, safe experience for visiting fans and their families.

Well because according to the media our uni's suck, so we gawk at others and dream. I like our uni's, but having something very cool and different recruits like.

I think they look pretty sharp. I've had a fascination with the flat colors teams have been using as well. I especially like oSu's flat black and orange. Not sure how flat cardinal and gold would look, though...

I agree. Do all college athletes want to dress up like barbies now? The old man in me wants anybody who plays Oregon or any other fancy pants uniform school to go the opposite way, strip all logos off helmets and have the most generic uniforms possible.
