I’ve got a bear with a forest background on my shoulder. My last name in German means “bear-like” or “bear-hearted” so it had some significance to me. I had wanted one for quite a while but never pulled the trigger. Then I had a friend from high school die shortly after turning 30 and it kicked me into gear when I realized that you need to do what you want while you still can.
I have a couple of Celtic dragons on my right upper arm/shoulder and an armband beneath those in the same style. I've told Silvano Fiato if he ever comes to the U.S. my right forearm is his.
I would consider flying out to Italy for a tattoo from him.

Meh, either get it touched up or covered up. Not a big deal IMO. Keeping your tats out of the sun or covered by sunblock goes a long way towards preserving them too.
Yes, this is an area that many tattoed folks don't realize. That $500 piece of art you just paid for needs to be cared for well after your skin has healed. I use SPF 50 over all my tattoos when exposed to direct sunlight.
Why do tatted folks wear tank tops when it's 40 degrees outside, to show off their 'investment' and art on their arms and neck? asking for a friend....
I have been waiting to get a I-State tattoo for months now. Just getting the logo on my shoulder blade, about 2-1/2 x 3-1/2. In spite of the pandemic, I think I'll get it over the next few weeks.
I debated whether I should keep my appointment on Dec 5 or not, given the pandemic. It's one of those things that was scheduled well in advance, but with cases spiking, it was an "unnecessary risk." I decided to keep it given that it was one-on-one interaction, and the shop I went to took precautions (100% mask use). I also had an n95 mask from woodworking so I wore that during my appointment. Overall it felt safe as I was exposed to no more than about 6 people over the 3 hours I was there. But, that was only Saturday, so still lots of time for me to be proven wrong!
If you can't tell, it's on the front of my bicep and down to my elbow. My sons name is Jack.

A friend has a few of those style. She is sunscreens good and putting lotion or something on them non stop. I don’t have any so not sure if normal or what she does to keep the colors up.
If it were me I’d go Orrnado because walking Cy has been taken over by the farm wing of Cyclone Nation. I’d also get a Ross Hall tattoo just everyone on here would freak out.
you need to check out suicidegirls.com as they mostly have good tats. FYI probably not a site you want to checkout on a company computer or a device you share with your wife.
I feel like “they’re going to regret how that looks in 15 years” has been the common passive aggressive comment about tattoos regardless of the style.
