Tattoos

I don’t have any.

My wife on the other hand has 4.5 (she had her original sleeve artwork covered up after a few years). My favorite of hers (not the cover up) was done at a tattoo show in Des Moines 10+ years ago: it’s a tree with branches extended but no foliage. It was a symbol of the fruit she wants to bear(which I think at the time was more career oriented). Now we’re married and have 4 kids.

I've got nothing against them. I'd get one if I felt strongly about something. But I'm now old enough where things I've felt strongly about in the past have faded. So at this point, I guess someone would have to tragically die?.... So I guess I'll hope to stay tattoo free.

Iowa State Football on my right shoulder

Silhouettes of my dogs on the inside of my left bicep

"There is only one God and his name is Death and what do we say to Death" written in Icelandic on the inside of my right bicep

I have been thinking of getting shapes of the countries and states I've traveled to on my back. I need to work on the design of how I want it to look though.

I have 3 (4 actually but one covered up another). I actually just sat for 3 hours yesterday to get my most recent one. All mine represent someone special in my life: barnsmallow (daughter), eagle (dad), Jack card (son). I stick with the traditional, classic style.

I view them as art and a way to express oneself. They can be for a deep meaning, or just something you think looks nice. Of course you have to have a certain career path for certain areas/visibility but I don’t judge other for having them.

I have 4.... 1. Iowa state tattoo on my right back shoulder 2. Memoriam heart tattoo for my wife on my left chest. 3. Assassin's Creed logo on my right ribs 4. Spartan helmet on right outside bicep

Cross on my left bicep (slightly regret that one, got it on my 18th birthday), a Hawaiian sea turtle on my left.....I guess like, where my chest meets my shoulder? “Imagine” on my right bicep and “Honor Before Victory” on my right....I guess like, where the chest meets the shoulder?

I have a **** ton of tats. Mostly meaningless drivel and things I find funny for more that 10 minutes. I got a swan faucet just so whenever I felt like it I would show it to my homie and he would say “stop looking at me swan”

I have the McCarney-era ISU logo on my upper arm, Green Jellÿ EUCK logo on left forearm, Black Flag and Dead Kennedy logos on left arm, skulls engulfed in flames on inner left forearm, My old band (Demon Core) logo on left forearm, an alien skull on left ankle, a demon skull on right ankle, Slayer Seasons in the Abyss album cover on inner part of left ankle, biohazard symbol on chest, inverted cross on a finger, anarchy symbol on another finger, anarchy symbol on left arm... I think that's all of them.

My friend is drawing up a full back piece for me, which will be Bob Ross painting the apocalypse while riding a pterodactyl. He is also drawing some other cool ones that I thought up and will get eventually. Oh, and I will be getting my avatar as a tattoo as well.

Best one I have seen is one my friend Jimmy had of Ren & Stimp beating the crap out of Barney with baseball bats.

I don’t normally ask to see people’s tattoos but the bob ross idea sounds creative/interesting enough that I’d want you to post a picture here if you get one.

One of the big issues I see with tattoos today is the influence of social media. People are getting tattoos that look great for that instagram post, but may not look so good in 5, 15, or 20 years. For example, "water color" tattoos are big right now. If done well, they look really nice right after they are finished, but those colors will lose their boldness over time and I wonder how tattoos like that will age. Same for the "stitch" tattoos. I would imagine those would lose their detail over the years and not look as good.

Yeah. I only do black and white tattoos. Have 2 and have ideas for a couple more.

I've got one on the inside of my right bicep.

If I got another it would probably be walking cy. Where would be the best spot for that?

I'll answer pecker, nuts, and butt so we can skip those answers.
