The comment section must not have been going well since comments got shut off.

Man, I don't think anyone was asking "but will their beer live on?"
I have no clue what the point of that video was lol
Dude you just brew beer. Not exactly solving world hunger

Weren't his employees still seeking pay they were owed too? Probably should figure that out first before some of the broader goals he talked about

Cascade (Dubuque County) has a Textile Brewery tap room but also a Happy Joe's Pizza Parlor connected to it which you can order right to your table.

This moves it up a couple positions on the list.

Went on my first ever ride bike to brew pub and drink beer experience yesterday.
Rode down to House Divided in Ely, IA.
Good beer and good ambiance, conveniently located close to the bike trail, and this is a hobby that's clearly popular with folks in the corridor.

Big Rack is awful, so ....
Yeah never been to their taproom but I’ve had a few of their beers and it was pretty average and I know 1st Down has been looking to sell. Just saying there’s no way 3 breweries are getting enough business in Winterset to stay open very long.

Wilson's Orchard-Cumming

Checked this place out last weekend and was a little disappointed. The place is cool from the outside, plenty of parking, nice store that sells a lot of things that look good.

I didn't really find anything wrong with the place but I guess my expectations were different. I made the assumption that it would be similar to a place like The Hall where it was 90% about the product(Cider) and 10% about the restaurant. In reality, this place is 90% about the restaurant and the cider is an afterthought. When you walk in there are 10 or so seats at the bar but every other seat in the place is for dining, including their small patio. Their outdoor area is probably the most disappointing of everything. People brought their own lawn chairs and just sat in the grass. On a positive note, every other person that walked through the door had a child with them. The parking lot was full, so I'm probably alone in this opinion.

Titonka Brewing Company

We had some family move near Forest City, so I thought I'd check this place out. They had a decent tap selection and it also looks like they are doing a little bit of canning. Talked to the owners(husband/wife), who seemed like great people. They talked about how they've filled their mug club with 40 people, which seems low until you realize that it's 10% of the town! They are only open 2 days a week but they had a good turnout on a Saturday afternoon. I had a good oatmeal stout and a not so great sour.

Next time I'm in the area, I plan on checking out The Pressroom Brewery in Belmond.
