Survivor 50

Glad to see Savannah go and replace that smug look of hers with tears. I wouldn't mind seeing Rizzo go soon too, he also annoys me. Watching Q give him crap about doing nothing and watching him struggle to make fire which was what got him eliminated last season was hilarious. He's on a tribe (for now at least) with some good old school players that work around camp and don't like laziness. Angelina caught a bit of their ire too I noticed.

I hope Joe pivots after the frictions with Devens and realizes he can't play the same game as last time as that will get him voted out. He's such a likable guy and good at the game would hate to see his stubbornness cause him to be an early target. Ozzy is showing he is playing it differently this time trying to work with Cirie to play the social game which has been his downfall in past seasons. Hopefully that pans out for him as would love to see him go deep into the game. Christian is another guy I am digging right now as he's being strategic while navigating any tribe drama he could maybe use to his advantage in votes.

Still a bit annoyed with Coach. I just laughed at him calling out Ozzy before the challenge. Pretty sure he said in one of those side interviews after that advantage challenge that he was going to play more cutthroat and less dishonest game this time but then wanted to be on the record about having integrity after he was outed. Give me a break, same old coach...

And I still hate it when people go through another player's bag. I'd probably be the person that would let that player know at the right time when I need their vote that someone went through their bag to get their trust but also screw over the person that did it. It's such an insure move IMO when someone thinks they need to go through another player's bag to see if they have an idol or advantage. If you need to know for sure if they do or not then you are playing a flawed game yourself as I sure as heck would not want to work with someone like that going forward knowing they could try to dig through my bag too.

Joe's answer was the one that caught my attention the most. If that is how he plans to play again then he's probably going to get blindsided or voted out early on. Already saw it last episode with players thinking they have to plan votes around Joe and not with him because he wants to play the trust/integrity game again.

I have watched survivor since season 1 but stopped watching around 45 or 46. I got tired of race and LGBTQ being the focus of the game instead of the challenges, strategy, and backstabbing.

They've gotten away from that in recent seasons in IMO but I agree there was a stretch there in the early 40's season they definitely started going down some social agenda rabbit holes. Seasons 41 and 42 definitely were tough to watch after Winners at War season 40 was such a hit. Season 48 was one of the best seasons in recent memory I think then was followed up with some bad players in 49 unfortunately.

I think a lot of fans of the show are hoping that season 50 can hopefully "reset the game" in a sense and get the show back to what made it great with players playing a more strategic game and not a social agenda dynamic. I blame Jeff a bit for that too as felt like in 41 and 42 especially he was really pushing the social agenda aspects of things more than just letting the game play out without him meddling in it.

Yeah I think they lost a lot of viewers with that nonsense but seem to be back on track. Jeff lost his mind for a few seasons and I was almost done with it. The casting went down dramatically at the same time. They were trying to cast it politically instead of logically.

Bye bye Q. Not sure he was the right vote for that tribe at this point in the game but he isn't one of my favorites either so was ok seeing him go. Kind of dumb on his part too telling Mike White to vote for him when Q had no vote and could have possibly agreed to go along with the Stephanie plan (another player I have never liked) instead to save himself.

I really like Emily but she can't keep anything to herself for anything.
Her and Chrissy both just overthink things too much at times and try too hard. Can't play too emotional and can't talk to much either else everyone will think you are a weak link and liability to work with.

I love the scene with Charlie and Rizzo how they flashed back to the night before when Rizzo said he did not vote for his #1 in the game Sophi who made final 3 then had the balls to ask Charlie if he had spoke with Maria since his season who did the same thing to him. I think it's just a matter of time before Rizzo is voted out as multiple players have reservations about him without ever seeing him play before. Their instincts are right and he probably will either say something at the wrong time or make a mistake trying to swing a vote. Season 49 did not have a good cast and just like Savannah I think this experienced and more well rounded cast will sniff that out.

Weird choice for Christian to ride with Emily over Mike this early in the game. Even weirder choice to spend so much time going “seeee this famous person likes our show!!”

Agreed. Only one competition and very little time spent on game play.
Certainly seems like they are reaching for new viewers with all the celebrity endorsements. It's reminiscent of the good ol' days of TV when they had "sweeps" week and they would have a special episode to try and drive up viewership to get renewed for another season.

How are veterans trusting a guy that they haven’t seen his season?? Dumb dumb dumb! Charlie should have throw. Him under the bus on how Rizzo turned on his biggest ally!
