Student Section Moving

I don't really like the visitors section in 41 right next to the hill. I feel like that might cause issues in the future with kids running around on them, but it's also probably the best spot for them.

That one is usually the band

This seems like it'll make the pedestrian conflicts at s16th worse. Was hoping the new bridge would take some of that student traffic but now it'll likely all go out the south end.

The letter says students will queue up on the pedestrian bridge (this potentially blocks wheelchair access from those east of the stadium). Students will not use the south entrance.

As a longtime donor with really low row seats in section R, I better be getting equivalent seats in section K. Or they need to reopen both corners to claiming seats based on priority points

I just want to point out I brought this up in the past. And I was tore into, by many people that in NO WAY would they ever move the Student or shift them to the corner.

You can believe it is only about safety...but I suspect the fact that they shifted them to the corner, and can now sell the tickets at a much higher premium, played a factor.

As a student, I obviously don’t like the move, but I understand it. It’s clearly being done for money reasons. And with all the realignment stuff going on, I don’t blame Jamie for going after low hanging fruit to increase revenue.

Money is the only reason for the move which is completely understandable. What will be interesting though is how those corner season ticket holders will be moved.

Means they'll have to find a new location for the Hawkeye marching band to sit. Hmmm....I can think of a few options.

Iowa sticks our band in the upper deck. We should do the same thing to them. Upper deck on SW side.

We sit in SEZ and typically those in our area typically don't get too excited or create a ton of noise. Maybe it'll help increase the excitement level.

So, they can use the ped bridge as a method to reach the queue on the new external NE walkway.
