Ooh I like this theory.

Still want to take out salt, but if that gets no traction, I’ll go for spiker.

That's got more meat than my reasoning, but to add to it:

Only 2 players voted for az (which kinda feels like a retaliatory lynching from Mafia because az was the only person to vote for Michael on day 1) AND voted for a non-gipper contender yesterday: Gipper and Striker.

And I suspect they split their votes between Vikes and Clonies to avoid being too closely linked to one another.

It's weak, but none of the theories strike me as particularly strong right now.
