His plant was fine on the throw, there was no pressure on him...it was a bad pass. On the first play of the game, when he hadn't taken a single hit yet. He proceeded to go three and out on the next two drives....he lost his job with this start.

Doesn't mean he wasn't still fighting through his injury from the UConn game.

I don't really have a dog in this fight except that people that don't think he had been fighting through problems with that foot after what happened before halftime of the UConn game need to realize that he was and that it was affecting him.

It's really pathetic fans are tearing these guys down like this. Both were major players in some big wins. Neither was perfect. 2012 will sort itself out later.

Quit the ******* bickering and enjoy this season.

There's been no less than 3 threads exactly like this with the same person supporting SJ blindly and asserting that he'll surely be our starter next season....

...he's not the starter now....support the starting ******* QB we have that gave us our biggest win in school history. ****!

' At some point you just are who you are. And jantz is a clip-board holder.'

There is beginning to be a whole lot of stupid in this thread.

he wasn't missing practice, the coaching staff felt like he could go...he couldn't produce. Football is full of nagging injuries. JB was knocked silly on the sideline and came back into a game and was still able to beat Texas Tech on the road.

SJ had just as many INTs in 2 games before the UCONN game as he did in the 4 games after the UCONN game

The "lol" is on you in this case.

He'd know to what extent Jantz was actually hurt.

Exactly. This is the key. Both guys have shown some legit ability as QBs.

The guy who keeps acting like Jantz was garbage is just as off base as the guys who are giving him e-blow jobs. Both JB and SJ are talented QBs with different strengths/weaknesses and as Cross said earlier in the thread, we can win with both.

Um, don't we have a bowl game to win?? Why this ongoing debate about next year when this season isn't even over yet? Why does there need to be a "vote" for next years starting QB when we have:

1) A bowl game on December 30th
2) Spring practice
3) Spring game
4) Summer practice leading up to the Tulsa game

A lot can happen between now and then. Relax.

JB is the QB right now, and all I care about is the Bowl game and getting a win over Rutgers.

Let 'em duel in the spring. Right now, it's JB's job to go out to NYC and find a way to win.

We have two good QBs that can win. We just might have a third in SR next year.

What's the point of fighting this one out? As long as we're winning, we're in good shape. If something happens and one guy goes down, we have another guy who has proven his ability to win at this level. We're in outstanding shape!

Then add what troutslayer sad. He really nailed how this will develop or not develop.
