Protect the Cow.....right?

This call is a steaming pile of ********. There is no way around it.

Spot the Cows at least 3 points a game for referee bias. The games are all but fixed at this point

They couldn't blow the whistle because he's still moving his feet and flips over as he is churning. While doing so, he exposes the ball and George takes it. It's the force of losing the struggle over the ball that makes Gray fall down, so clearly George has a live ball. It's just a travesty, no way around it.

This. The real issue is the initial call on the field, calling "down by contact" after George was running away from the play with the ball. That's the biggest problem with the whole thing. Whatever.. college refs suck and as has been said, nobody had the balls to overturn it, because of the opponent. Just another in a list of screw jobs either due to conspiracy or ****** refs. I recall a "down by contact" ruling against ISU at a certain Houston bowl which prevented a touchdown (that everyone, even in the nosebleeds could see shouldn't have been down) and subsequently ISU lost.

Now what are the chances that at the most crucial stage the next game we get the ball stripped from us well after we're down by contact and the whistle has blown, for TT to take it in for a TD- and the play stands.....

Everybody with decent eyesight and a functioning brain knows that was Iowa State's football. I wonder if things will change when Dodds and Brown leave. Probably just wishful thinking.

Where is Big Bob Bowls-buy? It's under his watch ... Correct?

**** the Big 12. Lets go to the MAC.

Uhhhhh, don't say that. I don't think the Big 12 would care one way or the other if we left the conference. In fact, they'd probably be happy if we left.

But it wouldn't be a good move for us. Even if we get screwed in every game with bad calls, it's still better than the MAC IMO.

Great find. It's the exact same play, yes. The lone difference is on the end line footage, you can see the football loose and the West Virginia player taking it. If anything, could could make the case that the Clemson player was down by contact or forward progress had been stopped even more than ours. The replay there can clearly see what happens. In our end line footage there is a Texas player blocking the view of the pile and George has his back to the camera, obscuring the view. But, overall, yes, it's the exact same play. Runner churning into the pile, flips over and exposes the ball, loses it to the opponent. Same thing. It just helps prove the point.

If they truly had FIVE camera angles in the booth, there really is no excuse, audio or no audio. The refs didn't have the stones to overturn it. There's no way they should have been blowing the whistle with George moving away from the pile with a live ball. It's a straight up screw job, plain and simple.

And the thing that really gets me is that the play was not even blown dead until George is down the field running toward our goal. It really makes the whole call very suspect. And if the replays are not enough to overturn the ruling on the field then it really makes me wonder how they could have over ruled some of our TD's in the past which were much more inconclusive. How a person could make an argument that it has to be absolutely 100% certain is pure BS because I have seen plays overturned that were far less conclusive than this. It is completely arbitrary. And it sucks that Texas and everyone else can get Home Cooking at our stadium. Name me specific examples where ISU has gotten the benefit of these type of calls.

I do no care how conclusive the replay was. The bottom line is the officials royally screwed up the call on the field. Whistle blown while Jeremiah George is halfway down the field and that means "down by contact"??

The officials' eyes didn't see what they expected (or wanted) to see. It was blatant. The white hat even gave the "knowing nod" to the sideline judge before announcing the runner was down by contact. Did they even confer? Did they even discuss?

This was the Ames Screwjob Act II. For what exactly? To overhype a blowout Red River Rivalry? Please...
