State High School Wrestling

Local Heavyweight finished 3rd at Districts, but was called to wrestle at state today. No mention of why both 1st and 2nd were not there. I know this is very rare. Good kid who came back from knee surgery last year.

Probably got busted partying or something like that.

They are both out? Son had a classmate who wrestled a kid at sectionals and that one got hurt so he was able to get second. At districts, he was losing the third place match but the other kid had his shoulder pop out and and to injury out so my sons teammate got third at districts. Then the day before state, the district champ got kidney stones and had to bail, so this kid who should not have make it out of sectionals made it to state. Luckily held weight for that one in a million.
