The last 45 minutes or so of "Rogue One" (basically the whole Scarif sequence) just 'freakin slapped (as the kids say these days). My personal favorite Star Wars action sequence from any of the movies.

I’ve always thought that the movie did not need the blind guy or the big guy with the machine gun. Kinda useless characters.

I think they're great examples that there's more than one way to keep the faith in dark times. Baze tries his best to be practical, Chirrut puts all his trust in the force, and they both find reasons to keep going in their bond/friendship.

Chirrut has a handful of incredible lines, but when he walks through the battlefield quietly reciting "I am one with the force. The force is with me." is what Star Wars is all about to me. Goosebumps every time.

This.

Plus with roughly at least a third of the movie being spent in Jeddah I think it's important storyline wise to have a couple of characters from there, even in just "sidekick" roles, be involved in the whole movie.

I've got a very busy week ahead of me so I likely won't be able to watch the last three episodes tomorrow night when they drop, but I am really looking forward to seeing how this ends (or, how they wrap this up before the events of "Rogue One").

Series finale tonight. Really curious how close this gets to Rogue One

I think it’s gonna get pretty close. Rewatched E8 and E9 yesterday. That’s pretty high level stuff. Right up there with the prison arc and the Aldani heist.

Be sure to stay for the final credits. Not what you think, but a nice touch to wrap things up.

Just finished 12. The second half of the season was phenomenal.

Such great storytelling and the slow burn of increasing tension. Really a remarkable two season set.

Just unbelievable how good that was. Especially compared to some of the other stuff they've put out. I'm sad it's over. Kinda similar to Infinity War/Endgame to me...the stakes are so high that you're invested. Once that's over, everything else seems kind of insignificant. I can't imagine they can put out a SW show that even gets close to this. In some ways, this was like closing the loop on my SW fandom. I grew up imagining the backstory of the rebellion, stealing the death star plans, etc. I was just a little kid when ANH came out, so that was the perfect age. Now that it has all been fleshed out, I'm just not sure what else there is to tell than isn't either fan service or crap like Skeleton Crew and the Acolyte.
