So I know most didn't like S03E07 of Mando, but did any comics nerds pick up on how it's pretty much EXACTLY like a Magnus Robot Fighter comicbook? The 60s comics had amazing covers and have aged well for mid 60s comics. The art in the 90s comics was mixed but the writing was great until Valiant was sold to Acclaim. Repeating theme is that the robots gain self awareness and go rogue, then at some point humanity wrestles with if they are true life forms or not, the robots at the bar in this episode REALLY reminded me of these comics.

The finale fits the tone set this season - if you've enjoyed the season then the finale is a pretty good conclusion. I've avoided reviews so far, but I could see the finale being a major disappointment for those that haven't enjoyed this season.

The way this season ended I don't think there will be a S4. I think it was a fitting finale for the series. I know Favreau was quoted before the season premiered that he has an idea for S4, but I think it will likely be part of Dave Filoni's movie.

Edit: I just rewatched Favreau's interview where he states he and Filoni already wrote S4 so I guess it's happening. I think S3 ended in such a satisfactory way. Maybe that's why they are making a S4 and we don't get that happy ending for the Din Family. Maybe a series finale like Red Dead Redemption?

Agreed. He's going to basically start hunting Imperial remnants, and occasionally cross paths with characters of other shows; primarily Ahsoka/Ghost crew, I would think, but perhaps even other Mandalorians (I doubt they'll want to put Bo-Katan/Katee Sackhoff on the shelf at this point). All of that can provide good content.

Fun finale. Some dumb plot decisions again, but it was pretty entertaining, if not a little too cheesy

Almost too neat and tidy of a finale. Felt much like RotJ where, if there was not going to be any more to the franchise, you would more or less be done with story.

I generally liked it, but with two minor complaints:

1) It was super rushed and felt like it jumped all over the place throughout the episode. Could definitely have used another 10-20 minutes of run time.

2) The ending was too happy. There needed to be more (read: any) loss/sacrifice for the good guys, imo. Many parts seemed too easy, especially Mando's escape.

Bit surprised they didn't pull a Marvel and do a Thrawn reveal in a post credit scene to setup the next series. Or even have a scene with the council at all. I thought they'd do more showing the growing imperial rise.

I'll add that Gideon's armor looked sick. I liked their fight.

Ugghhhh. I'd be lying to say I'm excited to see more of Finn's story. Some of that is due to the poor writing of the character, but also some of it is due to the fact that I find John Boyega to be fairly annoying and arrogant. With all this big universe to explore, is there really any reason to continue to explore the mixed reaction new trilogy characters, when you can instead start fresh with a bunch of new characters, without all the baggage?

This move just wreaks of Kathleen Kennedy and her proven inability to let go of her new trilogy. I mean, just look at how long it has taken to finally let go of her Rian Johnson trilogy. I get it, you love Rian Johnson yourself, and some people really like The Last Jedi just like you. I'm not necessarily one of them, but good on you all. With that said, that doesn't mean it is a good idea to willingly jump back into all that divisiveness. You wanna produce a non-Star Wars movie with your best pal Rian later on when you have moved on from Lucasfilm, sign me up. I'd watch that. He seems to be the only director you can seem to get along with anymore. However, as for Star Wars movies, start fresh and new and maybe we can start to mend the fanbase. Its just stubborn not to at this point. I'm personally hoping this movie just goes by the wayside once Kennedy has moved on here fairly soon.
