My understanding was the last guy in charge gave the green light to waaaay too many Star Wars and Marvel projects. With Iger back at the helm, he's pulling back on the reigns big time and focusing on the cash cows.

Really nice touch to have that actor be a part of it.

Everything, and I mean everything that is currently happening with both Star Wars and Marvel was Greenlit under Iger BEFORE he "left." - Bob Capek was only on the job for 10 months before the board removed him. Bob Capek's biggest "changes" were directly related to the parks.
i think the problem with star wars movies is they think they have to be some grand story that spans 3 movies. Just make 1 movie with a decent story with a loosely known jedi. I didn't know I wanted it til today, but I would love an action adventure/rescue movie with Jedi Master Kelleran Beq.

I watched a video last night with some history professor pointing out all of the similarities between Mandalorians and Jewish people. Kind of interesting. Is Favreau Jewish?
Some were saying Christian allegories early on. It was contrasting some of the eastern philosophies that the Jedi are often associated with. Now it looks like they are going for a Moses vibe.
I've seen basically nothing new of Star Wars except the movies. I watched the Obi Won series a few months back but that was it. Does everything revolve around order 66? That is kind of the joke I hear and read. The Obi Won series was ok, episodes 7, 8 & 9 were frankly not good. 7 was ok but it was an episode 4 reboot. Rogue One was great though!

As one of the creators of Lost, Damon Lindelof knows all about disappointing endings. But not even the man who helped inflict the Smoke Monster on the world could have foreseen that his dalliance with Star Wars would be snuffed out so quickly.

I've had fun watching the Mandalorian. Boba Fett seemed better once I convinced myself it was really just The Mandalorian Season 2 1/2. Rogue One was great. I actually didn't hate Solo.
