Loved the last episode. This was all about setting up one moment, and they stuck the landing on that so I'm happy. Some ups and downs, but a great addition to Star Wars canon overall. If Ewan McGregor wants to do more of these, and reportedly he does, keep doing them!

I gave up on this show after three episodes, but powered through after seeing the positive reactions. The last two episodes were outstanding. They should have just made this series into a movie. I thought maybe the first few episodes I was just on the wrong side of popular opinion but it’s very clear they saved the “oomph” for the finales.

My only issue:

Reva should have been killed off in the fifth episode. Once her motivations were finally made clear the timing was perfect to give her an emotional death. But they kept her around for episode 6 for a weird B plot to chase down Luke.

It seems most likely this is because they have future plans for her. They wanted to clean the slate for her to choose her own path forward.

Pretty much in agreeance with most here. Parts I, V, and VI were quality. A moment or two here and there in II-IV were fine, but generally those episodes were not quite as good. Glad it finished strong even if the road to get there was uneven.

One moment in the episode was kind of ripped off from Rebels. In the moment I was a kinda "WTF". But I get why they did it. It was effective and a lot of people watching this have never seen Rebels.

Yeah, I felt the same way.

Yeah, the in-between episodes were more just as an FYI of what's going on in the galaxy during the empire. How citizens are reacting, what's happening to rebel cells, what's going on with other Jedi, etc. Not really needed, but nice to know.

Not sure if this would be counted as a spoiler, but I kind of wish throughout this series there would have been more of a transition between the relationship with Owen and Obi-wan. Let me explain. In a New Hope, we know that Owen doesn't really like Obi-wan and wants to keep Luke away from him. However, we don't really ever know why. I think this series could have explored that more. I would have preferred that in the first episode that Owen and Obi-wan had a good relationship with Owen trusting Obi-wan for protection. Then Obi-wan leaves on his adventure for Leia, putting Owen and Luke in danger, which we see in Episode 6. This then causes Owen to not trust Obi-wan for protection anymore, and thus the cold relationship we kind of get in a New Hope. This would also, in my mind, explain better why Obi-wan moves away from his cave further away from Luke.

I was really hoping Vader was going to finish the job at the end of last night's episode. Unfortunately, I had heard the rumors about a Reeva spinoff series was in the works earlier this week. So it likely wasn't going to happen. :(

While I greatly enjoyed the fight in episode 6, I found a lot of the other stuff to still be pretty meh. Even Reva, who I found myself somewhat turning around a bit on last episode was back to terrible again this episode. I actually still really like her look, but just find the writing, dialogue and yes acting of her to be downright awful. I actually liked episode 5 overall better than 6. In the end, like many others on here, I only really liked episode 1, 5, and 6 of the overall series, and I found the others to be varying degrees of terrible. In the end, this series really just ended up being one big conjobbled mess of a build-up to the end fight. Yes, the fight was good and what everyone wanted, but the series overall kind of lost most of us on the way. In fact, just give us a movie if there isn't going to be any more substance to this series other than just the fight.

Looking back, I can't help but be disappointed in Deborah Chow, who directed all the episodes of the series. This is coming from a previously really big Deborah Chow fan myself, who lauded Lucasfilms choice of having her direct the whole series. Just look back at my posts on this forum. You can see where I was coming from when you realize that she directed some of the all-time best episodes of The Mandalorian. I don't know what happened. Kind of reminds me of when I was a monstrous Patty Jenkins fan after Wonder Woman (my favorite DCEU movie), only then to see the stinker she gave us with Wonder Woman 2, which I'm still reeling from. I don't know what happened there either.

With all that said, moving forward, I still do want find myself wanting to see more Obi-Wan. He still is my favorite character in all of Star Wars and Ewan was still the best part of this series. However, my only caveat is that if they are going to make more, please bring in another creative team (directors and writers) for the series. Bryce Dallas-Howard anyone???

So looks like Vader is on his third helmet by the time A New Hope rolls around? No wonder Palpatine was pissed. Those helmets are getting hard to come by. Probably really expensive.
Obviously beskar was just to expensive.

Somehow the Empire leftovers after ROTJ have beskar up the wazoo to prepay the Mandalorian enough beskar for whole new armor yet the Empire during its prime doesn’t have enough for its 2nd in command leader..

They came back, wrecked the planet, and took a ton of it somewhere between Rebels and The Mandalorian

I enjoyed the series for what it was. Ewan still has a great command of the character. I don't really like how hard you half to twist to justify that in 10 years all of these people will have little to no recollection of these events or their connections to each other.

They sort of addressed that. Obi wan effectively told Leia that they had to pretend to not know each other, because it would put them in danger. It's admittedly ham handed, but it does cover why her message sent in ANH was so formal and distant.

Kenobi had the chance to finish Vader off, but just walked away. Makes absolutely no sense to not put an end to the threat, especially since it seemed like he accepted that Anakin was gone.
