Stadium Construction 8/7/22

Awhile ago they were going to dismantle a whole bridge and reassemble it because Bezos is having a yacht built nearby and the bridge couldnt handle it. Apparently there was enough uproar about that it didn't happen, but apparently its possible

Yeah. I think that "dismantle" was probably a little bit to strong of a word (most likely being used by media because Bezos=Super Villian). Based solely on one or two pictures that I saw, it wouldn't be that hard to lower the existing lift span down to a barge, float it out of the way, float the SS Bezos through, and then reinstall.

I'm still convinced that if it had been for anyone but Bezos it wouldn't have been as big of a deal.

The tailgating was great, for those few that went, back when the entire west and south sides next to JTS were grass lots.

And parking so easy, for those that went, back when you could show up at kickoff and still find a spot south of Hilton.

But thankfully that’s no longer the case.

If executed well, the entertainment district will enhance gameday at JTS, not diminish. It’s on pollard to get it right.
Plus, down the road more parking/tailgating area may well become available…beyond the RV lot.

Which is yet another reason the bridge is a great idea.
