Soulard neighborhood is incredible when the weather is nice, and it appears it will be great weather next weekend.

I've heard Ferguson is nice this time of year...
St Louis is awesome if you just don’t get to the neighborhoods of abject poverty
You can say that about pretty much any larger city.St Louis is awesome if you just don’t get to the neighborhoods of abject poverty

I like St Louis more than a lot of big cities though. You can say that about pretty much any larger city.

Central West End, Soulard and Downtown are the areas to hang out. Seriously, they're great.
The Hill has great Italian food.
The 360 bar/rooftop in Downtown has better views of Downtown/the Arch than even going up the Arch IMO.

One of:Anybody know where the team stays?
Yeah that is my issue probably...every time I am in St Louis is for a conference downtown. One of the worst downtowns I have ever been to. Full of potential, total lack of any sort of execution.Minus the ballpark downtown is nothing special.
In every city, I've learned I most love the first or second ring of neighborhoods outside of DC. In STL's case, that's Soulard, Tower Grove, and the Central West End. Unfortunately their Downtown had a lot of demolitions for parking garages and other things back in the 70s and 80s and hasn't had the economic boom to bring it all back yet.Yeah that is my issue probably...every time I am in St Louis is for a conference downtown.
