It should be on Cyclones.tv just to give the production team some practice. That UNI game last year was pretty much unwatchable.

It's gross how much some people on here are down on football. Explain how we have little chance at a bowl this year to me. We were 3-9 last year, I'm aware. We got screwed out of our win over Texas, nearly beat TCU and TTU, And lost to UNI. That's 4 games that could have put us at 7 wins. We were decently competitive in most games. I for one am dying to get back in Jack Trice. The last time I was there (Kansas game) was one of the more fun games I've been to recently.
The 71-7 game at Baylor was the blow that sent a lot of us to the mat last year I would think. A loss that embarrassing can put the brakes on the optimism in a hurry. I haven't given up on next year, just saying why there's not much buzz. Oh yeah, and the spring game = zzzzzz, not going to hold it against people if they don't go.
It is the Saturday of VEISHEA and will be 70 degrees. You bet your booties I will be tailgating and working on my "We want SR/GR chant!"
I understand, but it just seems that a lot of people act like every game was 71-7.
What happened last year should not ever happen in year 5 of a program. That kills momentum.
That said, I am giving the coaches and staff another year before my interest starts waning and I stop believing. Because if we really have improved our talent that much and developed our players, we need to have ONE up year in the better part of a decade.
Lot of fair weather fans in here. I, for one, am fired up as usual for FB and for the Spring Game!

Like someone else said. We need to get the lucky break. Last year we had about every bad break possible. I think that the 3 wins was n the lower end if what that team could have done. Not because of coaching but luck.
Also the Baylor game wasn't really that bad. Yeah we played poorly against them but there were better teams that got blown out by them too.
I am optimistic and hope we can be successful and get a bowl win but I'm also realistic. I think the over under should be 5 wins. The thing that many people are forgetting is while we aren't very good comparatively to everyone else this is still looking to be an average year in my lifetime and an above average year for the history of our school.
For anyone saying that this is the last year before his seat gets hot they are ignoring what I'd our next best alternative. We are not going to attract anyone who is better. Maybe we can find someone who can get a few more wins. That's great and all but then they will probably leave and we will be back to where we are now or worse. The risk really outweighs any reward. Now if he were to go and win less than three games the next two years then you would be right but keep it in perspective of what is the alternative.
I think moving the game to an actual entire game as opposed to practicing specific situational components would help.

This can be read a couple different ways. The way I first interpreted it had me chuckling out loud. Could've gone either way on a football forum!
I don't equate fair weather fans with not attending the spring game. Lots of families probably doing VEISHEA stuff this weekend.
I'm coming up for the Spring game, with a lot of other KC Cyclones. It's VEISHEA people! Veishea stuff, tailgate, spring-game and Cy's House of Trivia (The Best Cyclone Event there is by the way).
Can any one confirm, just for my sanity, that the Spring Game is still happening? I am under the assumption that it is, as it is unrelated to VEISHEA and/or last night's extra curricular activities... And nothing on cyclones.com. I've just completely talked myself out of a football-withdrawal freak out!
