Saying this again, the fact they aren’t televising this on ESPN+ is a joke. From a business standpoint, it makes sense to get people to subscribe on a month that’s dead for sports on ESPN+ and is super nice for people who live out of state and can’t make the game so we can still watch.
I get it that if they televise it, a few less people will go but let’s be real, nobody watches spring games for the crowds anyways. And those who want to go, will make sure they get there.

No reason for ESPN+ to not do this with the school's broadcast teams taking it on.
I am ancient and was a freshman in 1979. There was nothing in the end zones that I recall - not even moveable bleachers. We ran up the hill on west side for student section seats.

I am sure you are younger than me so maybe pre-ancient. I turned 19 in October, which that year was the legal drinking age as they transitioned to ratcheting it up.
More ancient than you and I remember student section sitting in the East side of Jack Trice from when it opened in fall 1975 and through the first 4 seasons. Long time ago. Am I wrong? So student section switched for 1979 season?

I am pretty sure it was southwest corner then although I probably had no idea which way was north in those days. Seems like we walked from Towers through Greek land and there we were. They definitely opened a fence and we ran up a hill, although the whole topography around the center was different back then.
My memory of it was the Northeast corner was the students section. Wine skins were legal.
I know there were lots of wine skins, not sure if they were legal as they did keep changing up the drinking age.
I was always getting passed nearly every game. One game I got passed twice. It was terrifying.
"Pre-ancient" made me chuckle. Guess, being 10 years older than you, I am than ancient? I'd like to save ancient for when I hit 80. I think of myself as maybe a pre-ancient elder at this point and age. That would make you a pre-elder.
Only a year younger, and I know full well that at this time of life, a year is irrelevant to ancience.
So does anyone have any actual reactions from the game? Something must have happened.
I have a brother nine years older than me that fools a lot of people that think he’s solidly middle age because he’s still very athletic and has hair.
Apparently I at least have young hair cause when I made an appointment for my next haircut, I went to the webpage and there was the back of my head! It’s my best side!
