Execute on both sides of the ball and the choice doesn't exist.

And it didn't matter in OT either.

There is no advantage playing in the south end for ISU. It was a bad call by our captains.

Definitely wasn't the reason ISU lost, but I did wonder why they picked the end away from the students.

I'm not saying it's why we lost. We lost because we couldn't stop Iowa and our offense lost their way. But there is no advantage to playing in the south end for ISU, and we chose that end.

Honestly our stadium would have been quite in ot whether it was on south or north side. Game was over honestly when it went to ot.
Yes I agree, but it's going to be louder on our offense in the south with their band on the SE side and their fans on the SW side. I'm not sure it would of made a difference, but we made it harder on ourselves by chosing the south side. No question.

Why in God's name did we chose the south end in OT. What a ******* fail...
I actually know the answer to this...

they knew that we'd **** it up, because we often do, and any celebratory photos and the like would NOT have the students in it?

As an aside, did anyone see the guy drinking the banquet beer? That was awesome.

Except that the entire endzone is surrounded by tens of thousands of fans when the other endzone has a crappy building and the band in the endzone. The students are loud, but not as loud as an entire endzone of 2 tiers of fans.

Disagree 100%. Students are louder.

Pound for Pound yes, but there are 3x as many fans in the other end zone, which IMO equalizes it.

Fans aside, as a visiting offense, which of these would you rather be playing towards?

You gave me a picture of the North side on media day. The band usually sits there on game day, and is allowed to play in-between downs.
