Some of their takes were quite strange. We could have won that game by damn near 70 if we didn’t call off the dogs. They did nothing to stop our starting offense

So just like UNI fans and Hawk fans lol
I went to UNI and to this day know one family that are legit UNI fans. There are plenty of UNI grads who hate Iowa and are true Cyclone fans. But yeah the majority are Hawks. Its that way at every 1AA school. Not sure why so many on here get so worked up about it.

I wouldn't say it's "their" takes. It seems to be just one guy that's intentionally obnoxious. He's probably a USD grad who grew up either an Iowa or Nebraska fan and hates Iowa State.

I actually think it’s badass that CMC doesn’t. It’s tremendous respect for the game.

Last week he was running out the clock to guarantee a win. This week it was getting reps for non-starters up until the clock ran to less than 40s. He gets his players game experience, but no need to score just because you can. I think it conveys tremendous respect for the opponent.

I don’t disagree with Campbell a lot, but he should have punched it in against KState but I know he has a lot of respect for Klieman.

Selfishly, I hate KState more than Iowa.

Pretty sure it was done because KSU couldn't stop the clock and wouldn't get the ball back.

Add in that ISU's back end was leaky and it's not the best decision to make it a two possession game vs ending it.

That’s why I said selfishly. They could have tried a sneak with 2 seconds left easily though, but I digress.

I’d hope he didn’t kneel due to respect, but rather it’s nearly 100% a win by doing so

Perception matters more than ever, so I would have loved to try and get the TD, but understand that has more risk of backfiring

May not have been a consideration, but could also be that Campbell didn’t want to have to answer post-game questions about running up the score. He wouldn't want to take any attention from the team by doing something 'controversial'.

Was there speculation that he ran it up?

Weren't the first teams done by about mid 3rd quarter? That's a almost unheard of at this level.
