Here's why I don't understand the people that complain about the music. Don't you just start to associate the songs with good memories and then just ignore the fact that you think they are bad songs? Even if I hated Juicy Wiggle, I'd still love hearing it because it brings me back to that magical night against West Virginia or countless other games. Even if I hated Sweet Carolina, I'd still associate with Iowa State wins. The students don't do that stupid dance when Juicy Wiggle plays because they think it a good dance, they do it because it is fun. Swag Surfin' is a dumb song, but whenever I hear it, I think of the players dancing on the sidelines in the home game of the weird 2020 season. So, therefore, it makes me happy.
It's not about if the song is good (and news flash most of us don't have good taste anyway) it is about the feelings we get when the song is played.
