Redshirting makes it less appealing to transfer prior to graduating though since you would sit out 2 years and only have 3 to play.
If I was a coach I would never red shirt anybody in basketball unless it was my kid. Too big of a chance that they graduate and transfer.
I like all of our recruits in this class, but I think I'll wait and see how they pan out. I know the recruiting services are not the end all be all, but the simple truth is these high schoolers are not as highly rated as the high schoolers Hoiberg brought in. We all like to believe our coaches have superior evaluation skills and I really hope they do. But chances are they'll turn out to be high performers as upper-classmen.
An Ejim-Hogue type player would be fabulous. Last year's team lacked that hustle/tough guy who would mix it up some under the hoop.

Young listed at 6'8" is a pleasant surprise. Saw a Schultz tweet that they had him at 6'6" during recruiting, but he measured at 6'7.5" this summer. Hope he hits another growth spurt.
Also, Thomas was listed at 6'5" instead of 6'4"
Where they are listed may not mean much.
Did you read what he wrote? He measured at 6'7.5
With shoes? Maybe we're measuring different than in the past.
I'm not buying that all of a sudden, Matt Thomas and Deonte Burton grew an inch before their 4th year of college.
